"Stunning location with great amenities. The hot tub was amazing—we greatly enjoyed using it multiple times. We utilized the kitchen the whole week we were there, and it had everything we needed. We loved the stereo system. The property location would be dark enough to see the northern lights—but we were unlucky with the weather with cloud coverage while we were there. We may have to return to try again."

"The setting could not have been more gorgeous at this house, set along a lovely fjord with crystal blue ocean waters. We spent hours relaxing in the Icelandic "hot pot" (hot tub) in the rear of the property, soaking muscles and clearing our minds. (Unfortunately we were not as lucky as other reviewers and did not see any whales, but we did spot a seal near the local harbor.)The house was clean and spacious, easily big enough for 4-5 people. Owner Thomas emailed us a very helpful, 30-page guide to the house and surrounding region, with advice on local attractions. If you like to kayak, I'd recommend checking out Cape Tours, which is based a block away, and whale-watching in Hauganes, directly across the harbor.Grenivik is a bit out of the way. It's about a half-hour's drive from Akureyri and adds that much more time to trips to Lake Myvatn, Dettifoss, Husavik. etc. But to us, it was worth it to enjoy the beauty and isolation. We loved our stay."

"Charming, cozy, and clean cabin with a relaxing deck and very kind host. It was amazing listening to the birds at 12:30am while soaking in the hot spring fed outdoor spa watching the colorful midnight sunset, priceless! This highlight was only topped by whale watching from the porch. The cabins are set back slightly from the fjord and the views are stunning! It's an easy 1 minute walk to the waters edge, and an easy drive to Dalvik too. So thankful we found these cabins; all surrounded by wildflowers, whales, nature, and beautiful Iceland. "
