The full English breakfast was good, my friend thought that his pancakes were under done, the scrambled eggs were out of a packet & watery. The bar was well stocked with a reasonable selection of beers. The only downside was that they don't serve food after 1600 on a Sunday. 」

「Pleasant stay. Clean room. A not too loud alarm did disturb our sleep a little but it must have been nothing untoward? - fire regulations said to wait in bedroom until otherwise advised... fortunately no such advice was forthcoming!」

「Superb property. The room we had was massive. Very large sleigh bed. Raised platform with a double ended bath in the bedroom. Beautiful oak flooring on the platform and really nice thick carpet in the bedroom. The en suite had a large walk in shower and was all new and clean feeling. The grounds were lovely. Nice walk round, rope swing obviously designed for brides and grooms. Sheep in the field next door. Staff friendly. Classly and well kept. Can highly recommend.」

「Comfy room, generous towels. Arrived late Friday evening, no bother getting a table in the pub downstairs for food- they don't take table reservations, so I wasn't at a disadvantage. Good wide choice on the menu and attentive service. There was a nightwatchman for after hours- what a treasure! He showed me how to access once the pub was closed, helped me empty the bags from the car and carried them to our room all with a friendly, nothing was too much trouble approach. 「We used the Pickled Parson as a home base for a month while visiting family. The room we had for that duration of a stay was a little small, but it was comfortable, clean and made up daily.
