Stayed here a few years ago due to its central location - it’s right in the town centre and has is own car park (£9 per night fee).
sadly the place is getting a bit on the tired side now.
Staff were friendly enough if a little inexperienced (IMO), but the building and the rooms could definitely do with a good clean and some decorating.
Net curtains in our room were torn, walls were marked and so was the carpet.
The other room we booked had food stains on the walls and the ceiling!!
Furniture had graffiti carved into it,
We also ended up on a floor with an all male ‘party’ group, that were very noisy one of the inebriated guest knocked on our door before falling over in hall, not the hotel’s fault but if this is the type of clientele that are the usual guests I wouldn’t recommend staying here as a family break,
also a large pile of empty take away food and beer packaging was left outside their door and was there for too long in my opinion.
In summary
Great location
Friendly staff
Needs updating
