"The room was lovely with great views from the balcony. The shower was not in the best of conditions, but it worked which was the main thing. The staff were helpful and enthusiastic. The one downside were the pillows - they were genuinely the most uncomfortable things any of us had ever put our heads on! We tried each pillow - hoping they'd be better than the others - but it was honestly like trying to sleep with our heads on bags of cement powder -they just had no softness or 'give' in them at all and after 2 days we had sore necks/shoulders. It's a shame, as the rest of the stay was great."

"A very old and worn-out building. Musty smell. Wobbly floorboards. No air-con. I was hassled twice to move my motorcycle to an inadequate parking place, even though I had booked an apartment with parking. The receptionist behaved a bit oddly, putting pressure on me to but her a drink, which was uncomfortable. I booked two days, but left after one. In quite a good location to walk along the sea front. Swakopmund is a nice town."

The rooms are consistently clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with reliable air conditioning that makes a big difference after a long day. Every detail feels thoughtfully taken care of. What truly sets this place apart is the staff. They go above and beyond to ensure everything is just right, always with warmth and professionalism. Whether it’s helping with requests or just checking in to make sure you’re comfortable, they make the experience personal. The bar is also a great spot to unwind with a relaxed atmosphere, good drinks, and a perfect way to end the day. If you’re looking for a place where you’re treated like more than just a guest, The Delight is it. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. "
