Piper’s Retreat is a four-bedroom, three-bath beach house located 0.2 miles west of Surfside Pier (five blocks from the beach). This property features a fully-equipped kitchen complete with a microwave and dishwasher, washer, dryer, central heat and air conditioner, and ceiling fans throughout. Four TVs (40-inch in living room, 32-inch in bedrooms), DVD player, stereo, and Wi-Fi are also included. Sleeping accommodations include two king, one queen, and two twin-sized beds, plus a twin-sized sofa bed and rollaway. Outdoor amenities include a screened-in porch, covered porch, enclosed shower with hot and cold water, and charcoal grill. Dog friendly. Limit two dogs - 70-pound maximum weight limit if bringing one dog, 50-pound maximum weight limit per dog if bringing two. Please see the office for pet policy details. Golf cart permitted. Conveniently located close to some of the best area attractions, Garden City Beach is directly south of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula at the mouth of Murrells Inlet. One of the most renowned attractions in Garden City Beach is the Pier at Garden City. Other points of interest include Marlin Quay Marina and restaurants Sara J's Seafood Restaurant, Gulfstream Café, and Original Sam's Corner.
Just south of Garden City Beach is Murrells Inlet, a seaside community considered the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina" and home to some of the nation's best golf courses. Once primarily a fishing village, the town is best known for the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, a half-mile-long boardwalk overlooking a pristine salt marsh, and the many award-winning restaurants along Highway 17 Business in the central business district.
Brookgreen Gardens, a sculpture garden and wildlife preserve built on four former rice plantations, is located slightly south of the MarshWalk. It features several themed gardens with American figurative sculptures, trails through several nature reserve ecosystems, and the Lowcountry Zoo.
