Just upset I had to p a y an extra cleaning fee ..for a bit of sticky stuff on the floor..just didn't seem far..apart from that it was fantastic and the lady's in the office where I collected the key were lovely!!

Location was great, unit not so much...
The unit itself is very dated and in need of new furnishings and fixtures i.e. Fans, Lounge, Outdoor Setting, Fly screens, Toilet seat, Mattress etc. the photos online do it more justice and don’t show the wear and tear. The 2 seater lounge sunk in the middle so seating for a couple was near impossible and the queen bed was rock hard (I was hoping that the owners had replaced the mattress as all the other reviews had mentioned this but it was like sleeping on a table) The outdoor setting was rusted and broken and even though there were plastic chairs majority were broken and filthy so no alfresco dining. The main screen door on the patio didn’t lock so the glass door would have to closed every night making the unit stuffy and hot as there is no air-conditioning. The screen door in the main bedroom had holes and the unit was extremely dusty under and around all the furnishings we had to vacuum upon arrival which the vacuum itself had to be emptied and filter cleaned beforehand. This could have great potential with a little TLC and some $ thrown at it. I knew that this was not going to be a 5 star resort upon booking but I was disappointed with the upkeep of the place. Unit location made it worthwhile as it is so close to parks, beaches and dining but we will probably pay a little more and stay elsewhere next time

In fairness, we knew when booking we weren’t walking into a 5 star property. That being said, this property is getting quite tired and is in need of general investment to bring it up standard. The main bed was rock hard and quite uncomfortable - bring a pillow mattress topper if possible to soften the stay! The carpet is close to threadbare and some general investment to repair ceiling fans, replace light covers, upgrade older furniture and replace pots and pans with broken handles etc would be money well spent. You can’t beat the location and amenities nearby, great walk to the beach with small kids but
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property due to its location to the park and beach. The property was a bit dated but we were aware of this at the time of booking. The only issue we had was that the mattress in the main bedroom was as hard as a rock. I was unable to sleep on it and had to sleep on the couch for the first night. I contacted the property managers after this first night to provide this feedback however there was no remedy offered despite having a further three nights to go in our booking which was disappointing. But other than the issue with the mattress, we had a lovely stay at Kings Beach.
The unit could use a freshen up, but the location makes it worthwhile. The beach is 150m away, and one of the best on the coast. Several excellent dining options are just a stroll away! And if you are a walker, there are many options.... Hills, boardwalks, beaches!
