「It is a true gem of a hotel. Beautiful buildings, both old and new, and a magical garden. Two residents lounges plus a library with pool/snooker table. 「The Castle Inn is a lovely traditional,thatched roof inn a 20min walk from Lulworth. The staff were really lovely,each of them friendly and clearly all work hard and look after their guests well..The pub is furnished to a high standard and the room was so cosy and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was good and they have a wide menu for lunch and dinner. The dinner we ate there could have been better,but it wasn't bad..Would definitely stay again.」

「Was in town to go to the Tank Museum. Lovely property that was a 5 minute drive to the museum. There was an attached restaurant that was very reasonably priced and a nice continental breakfast that came with the room rate. The rooms were clean and functional. The doors were charming and opened with an old school key. For better or worse, the doors were also older wooden doors and not terribly good at keeping the outside noise out. 」

「This was the second time that we have stayed in this lovely old pub and our experience was just as good as on our first visit. The food at both dinner and breakfast was excellent and the service from Matt and his team is as good as you’ll find any pub in the UK. The village of Plush is charming but very small and rather remote so don’t any night life!」
