「We were welcomed by an extremely happy and smiling host called Vicki providing lovely homemade muffins, fresh milk and juices in the fridge. We had an immaculate room and very modern bathroom which we found both were very comfortable. Vicki provided a lovely menu of starter and hot dishes which were beautifully and freshly cooked and brought to our room every morning timed at our request. We woke up every morning to water and harbour views from Uig. The photo of the premises does not do justice...

Our host Joan Anne was exceptionally kind, very helpful, quick with suggestions, and a fantastic cook. Our bed was comfy, bedding luxurious, all amenities were lovely.」

「It’s easy to self check in. Sam left goodies in the room for a nice continental breakfast. We had a fridge in the room so it was easy to pick up some yogurt etc for an easy breakfast. Very clean and quiet. Slightly outside Portree so you need a car but parking is included and you would need a car in this area anyway. Highly recommend!」

「部屋は広くて清潔で良かったです。ロケーションがとてもよくて、目の前の港の明かりを部屋の前にあるベンチから見るととてもロマンチックでした。クイアリング山やフェアリーグレンも近いです。部屋が2部屋しかないのでここに宿泊できたのはとてもラッキーでした。チェックインと食事はウィグホテルですので車移動が必須です。」

「We had a fantastic stay at Taigh Duitseach in April 2024. Checking in was very easy, the property was lovely and clean, the breakfast was exceptional and lovingly cooked in front of us by Jim and Paulline who were very kind and welcoming. We were only on Skye for 72 hours so we'll definitely be coming back and would feel lucky to stay here again next time!」

「Clean, comfortable, simple room and ensuite showeroom/toilet. We had a table and two chairs by the window which was lovely so we could eat some meals there. Good service and lovely kind gentleman running the place who was very helpful. Good value. Only problem we had was being woken by the neighbours dogs loudly barking before 7am, which went on a long time, but not every day and of course is not the guest house owners fault at all. 「Location was good. Room was spacious and clean but toiletries were not provided. WiFi was not available on property although it was advertised. WiFi service had to be accessed at nearby hostel. Breakfast was very poor - no coffee, limited options and insufficient quantities, sugar/water juice, molded bread in bread-bin. No full-time receptionist. This property has potential but needs some upgrades and better management. Definitely not a repeat customer.」
