Escape to Gratitude Cottage, a cozy all-season retreat tucked away in the peaceful woods of Strafford, Vermont. Surrounded by nature and offering remarkable long-range mountain views, this charming cottage is the perfect place to relax, recharge, and enjoy the beauty of every season. Whether you’re planning a quiet weekend getaway or an outdoor adventure, this forest retreat offers comfort, privacy, and a true Vermont experience.
Built partially with slipform stone using rocks harvested directly from the property, the cottage blends rustic charm with cozy living. Inside, you’ll find space for up to 4 guests, along with a full kitchen and bathroom to make your stay comfortable and convenient. Step outside onto the large private deck and take in the fresh mountain air, peaceful forest surroundings, and beautiful scenery.
Quick Highlights: - Cozy all-season cottage that sleeps up to 4 guests - Beautiful long-range mountain and forest views - Spacious private deck surrounded by nature - Full kitchen and full bathroom - Quiet wooded setting perfect for relaxing getaways - Unique stone cottage built from locally harvested stone - Backcountry trails and peaceful natural surroundings - AWD/4WD recommended during winter months - Perfect for couples, hikers, and nature lovers
The Space Kumari of the Woods is a natural wooded environment designed for guests who appreciate peace, nature, and simplicity. The property features backcountry-style trails with moderately rugged terrain, making it ideal for hiking, exploring, and disconnecting from busy everyday life. The quiet forest setting provides a relaxing escape with very few distractions beyond the sounds of nature.
The cottage is easily accessible from the driveway, though the property is located approximately two miles up a dirt road. During winter months and mud season, an AWD or 4WD vehicle with good tires is highly recommended for a smooth arrival.
The driveway is plowed during winter, but Vermont weather can still create snowy or muddy road conditions depending on the season. Guests should be comfortable driving on rural dirt roads, especially during winter and mud season. If you happen to run into any issues during your stay, we’ll always do our best to help.
