The Butler House is an extremely cozy inn with a great breakfast restaurant (Make reservations, it gets packed) that's perfectly located for anyone who does not want to have to drive. Check-in was very easy and convenient, although it is self check-in (no concierge desk). We will definitely be staying here again in the near-future.

Beautiful building in a perfect walkable location. Room was nice. Murphy bed was very firm but nice linens. Very cozy but slightly cramped room. We liked that we could open the windows for fresh mountain air. Restaurant on property is very good. Very friendly and efficient staff. Appreciate that we had a reserved parking spot.

Loved everything about the Butler inn. Great location, beautiful Church across the street, quiet in spite of being at a busy corner. Close to walk around the shopping and restaurant area or use the recreation path.....very safe and well traveled. Also, designated parking so no headache there. Historical library right behind as well as every type of food and bakery you would want. Want to return in the winter ❄️❄️ to experience a different season in Stowe

Our stay was good overall, but I would not recommend staying in Unit 9. It is on the first floor, right next to the restaurant, which makes it very noisy. Every morning starting around 7 a.m., you can hear people talking right outside the door as they line up for breakfast at the Butler’s Pantry. In the evenings, you can also hear people and staff cleaning. The noise was disruptive throughout the day, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. If you’re a light sleeper or sensitive to noise, I would recommend requesting a different unit. The location of Unit 9 makes it difficult to enjoy a quiet, restful stay. I wish I would have known that before I booked.

Perfect location. Loved the room, even nicer than the pictures. Paul came to ensure our check in went fine and explain the heating.... automatic fireplace was great. Only sorry we missed the breakfast as we left early the day the Pantry opened 😕. Wet rainy walk to Moss Glen Falls may have been the best part but we definitely enjoyed exploring Vermont!

I loved the location right in downtown Stowe. I wasn’t expecting so many stairs. The room was funky with a loft bed that felt airless and cramped. We decided to use the pull out couch for sleeping and when we opened it there was hair all over the edges. Not cool. We had to sleep somewhere so we had to make the bed from linens in a closet. The bed was pretty comfortable for a pullout. The place was quiet despite being in the center of town. Our friends stayed in a beautiful room down the hall facing the street, spacious and airy. We got the last available room. Lacks staff with self-check in, so if you have a problem you have to call a number. No amenities to speak of. Not great value for the money. Just not the room we stayed in.

Wir hatten die Einheit 7 (The Lounge), es war wunderschön und liebevoll vorbereitet für uns. Es war alles da, was man braucht, auch zum Kochen. DAs Haus ist an der Hauptstraße gelegen, mit Geschäften, Cafes und Restaurants. Die Geschäfte schließen um 5 pm (im Mai). In der Umgebung kann man auch viele Aktivitäten machen. Wir können das Butler House wärmstens empfehlen.
