"We stayed in the island lodge. The lodge itself is very nice, only downpoint of the actual lodge is lack of storage space in the kitchen. My biggest complaints about this place were 1. When making the booking it NEVER mentioned that the only way to access your lodge is via a small rowing boat. I kid you not. I was with a family of 5, and none of us had ever rowed a boat a day in our lives. Had i known this upfront i would never have booked this lodge. THIS ROOM IS NOT SUITABLE FOR ANYONE WITH...

Some restaurants close by but not a whole lot else, which is kind of what we were looking for. The host is nice, knowledgeable about sites and surrounding areas, and helpful with special needs. "The location suited us great as a family stopping in at Utrecht for one night (using the train - the hotel is only a few minutes walk to Utrecht Central Station. You can also walk to the main shopping centre/area within 5 minutes, just watch up for the very fast bikes flying down the bike lanes when crossing them. It was also only a 10 minute walk to Oudegracht. Our room was very clean with a huge walk in shower. I would stay here again "
