"The room had everything we needed, but a microwave would have been a bonus. There was a little kitchenette area with a kettle and a fridge and breakfast items for a continental type breakfast. Some of the cereal packets were out of date and the cereal bowls had dried cereal stuck to them. There was a table and four chairs and a settee and a TV in the room."

"A perfect stay in a beautiful property. I always say you get what you pay for, so while it seemed expensive when I booked it, it was so worth the money. Everything was spot on, the furnishings were sumptuous, furniture and beds were top quality, bedrooms and bathrooms were luxurious. Host was great and left a lovely welcome hamper with wine, chocolate etc. All in all, I couldn't fault Finch House"

" A Wonderful Home From Home Weekend in StocksleyAs soon as we arrived on Friday, the house instantly felt like a home from home. It was lovely, spotless, tidy, and really well set out. The location couldn’t have been better!! Central to everything we needed, easy to find, and with very handy parking right outside.Vicky was incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout our stay, and we had everything we needed for a relaxing long weekend. The beds were unbelievably comfy, and the whole place felt warm and welcoming. If we were staying longer, the only tiny suggestion would be a couple of extra kitchen essentials, like scissors, egg cups or some small ramekins for dips and chutneys, but that’s honestly us being very picky!We also loved exploring the local area and trying out some of the nearby places to eat. When we arrived on Friday, we grabbed fish & chips from Bassletons Fish Bar but don’t be fooled by the outside, because they were so good! On Saturday night, we weren’t very hungry, so we popped into Uno Momento Italian for just starters, and the staff were lovely and the food was delicious. We even got chatting to a lovely lady called Jess, who manages both Il Mulino and The Mill. On Sunday we had the most amazing Sunday dinner at Il MulinoThe local butchers were also fantastic, with a great variety of options perfect if you want to stay in and cook.Overall, we had a brilliant stay and would definitely return. Highly recommended! "

"On arrival it was all ready for us with a welcoming bottle of wine and a tray bake of Rocky Road and also freshly cut flowers . The layout of the cottage was very good and had things we didn’t expect like milk, bread, tea bags, coffee and essentials for the first night. The cottage is close to Great Ayton which is a lovely village with shops and a coop and a big Tesco/ Aldi is only 7 miles away. Lots of activities close like Captain Cooks monument which you can see from cottage and woodland/ moorland walks. Andrea called a few days before to introduce herself and said if we needed anything to give her a call. We really enjoyed the stay and would definitely return and recommend to others. Loved it"
