We stay in hotels most weekends depending on the job Room was clean Altho needing a coat of paint and some decent from of house. whole place needs a good painting and cleaning throughout the restaurant also, The staff seemed stoned with a vacant stare on most of them walking around dirty tables with Spray bottles and cloths but no cleaning being done, I had the same conversation with the girl on reception 3 times within 20mins and she didn’t realise it was the same person (made me laugh) Customer vaping in the restaurant blowing smoke into the air Yet…. no staff seemed to care. When we asked the manager with the glasses and bald head to simply clean a table he was very unhelpful and rude at points swiping food debris onto my chair and lap as he made a miserable attempt to clean a table with a dirty old cloth the reception service was an absolute joke Asking the simplest of questions seemed to greatly annoy the staff here as they happily ignored dirty tables and a que around the bar with 5/6 staff doing absolutely noting but gazing in the roof. Very poor service, we won’t stay again

Clean and very big room. Furniture is worn and outdated but the large TV, comfy bed and powerful shower were great. The floorboards in the room above were very creaky.

This hotel is attached to a weatherspoons so no food issues with all the staff being very friendly and helpful. Sadely the late breakfast start times do not give me time to sample that option as I had a funtion to attend nearby. I wish the breakfast start was the same for weekends as weekdays as I am sure many have early starts at weekends.

Great Staff. Poor Room Condition.

The staff were brilliant, i cannot stress that enough. All were polite, attentive and professional. Sadly the room was very run down. Stains on walls, light fixtures at angles, floor in bathroom peeling away from wall, mould on windows etc. We chose this hotel due to its location. Next time we are in that area, it'll definitely be another hotel we stay in.

Tired hotel, lovely hotel staff though

The hotel is tired in my opinion and would definitely advise anyone not to stay on the ground floor, you can literally hear every footstep from the room above! We had noise late into the night and early morning. Our adult children stayed on the 1st floor and could see there had been a recent leak in the 1st floor corridor meaning the corridor smelt very damp and the fire alarm was disconnected, really not sure that is legal. Breakfast was nice, but evening meal was below average. Sign on the bar door said no kids allowed and yet was full of them, Also young kids were running up and down the main corridors of the hotel whilst parents were drinking in the bar. The staff were super friendly and that saved it for us along with the price of the hotel…basically you get what you pay for !

Mid range hotel, good breakfast

A older hotel that's had a bit of paint thrown at it and some patching along the way. The bathroom especially is well worn and the beds aren't very comfy. Overall, not bad for the money paid and breakfast was freshly cooked to order, which was good. All staff very friendly.

This Hotel was an ideal location for Alton Towers. Lovely friendly staff. Room could do with an update. Board falling off under sink. Big stain on ceiling upon entry into room. Good clean bedding. Slept well. Excellent Shower. I would stop again. Perfect for a budget stopover

Rooms are very worn and tired. Could really do with an upgrade or refurbishment. Have stayed there a few times over the years due to its convenient location to family, but it has really declined done i was last there.
