「We loved the location and felt very much at home in a comfortable home. Particularly liked the armchair in the window overlooking the reservoir. 「It's a building with several apartments so ours did not exactly match the photos, but it did look similar enough. 「We had a lovely 3 days staying in Topcroft cottage. All bedrooms are great sizes and having the 2 en-suites was very helpful as we were travelling as 2 families of 4. There is plenty of space for 8 people, the wood burner kept us cosy as the weather wasn’t as warm as we had hoped! Phillipa was so kind and dropped in a freshly baked cake and bread when we arrived, these went down a storm with all. The cottage is in Hathersage and attached to the village pharmacy. 「We had a great experience while staying here. We had booked the two cottages for my mum's surprise birthday and I have a large family. This was a great place to do this as there was a pool which entertained us all and enough space that you weren't in each other's space. It had beautiful views and a hiking tail right on the doorstep for anyone interested in a lovely walk. It wasn't far to get to local shops/bars/pubs. I would stay here again」

「The property was as described and was clean and comfortable and in a good location. Check in was easy. However this is the only property I have EVER stayed in that didnt provide any tea coffee milk etc. Even budget hotels do this. It made the place seem unwelcoming and meant we hsd nothing to drink on arrival after a long journey. The same applies to the minute amount of hand soap provided. Also, a bin bag would have been useful. Parking was ok but was on the street and at a distance...fine...

「The room was very good, I personally think the lack of a breakfast is a major missed oportunatity. Also maybe a review of the public house may be in order. During our stay all hell broke loose and the blues and two's arrived with their riot gear. All contained in the pub thank goodness.」
