Communication was good, location good. Both bedrooms smelled musty! Oscillating fans in bedrooms were filthy. Window sills dirty -front door window was horribly spotted and gave an unwelcoming sight. I tried to clean it myself, only to discover the stains were in between the glass. Really needs to be replaced! Centipedes in bedrooms. We were refunded our cleaning fee. This house was rather expensive per night to have to clean myself and smell musty. We chose to leave a day early rather than spend another night there.

A Perfectly Relaxing Getaway Our stay at this VRBO was incredibly relaxing, a true escape! If you're looking for a peaceful retreat, this is absolutely the place. We really enjoyed the tranquil atmosphere and had a wonderful, quiet stay.Even though the weather wasn't ideal for the lake, we still managed to get in the water, and our 6 and 8-year-olds had a blast. The shallow depth, knee-high for at least 200 yards, made it perfect for them to play safely. A truly magical highlight was seeing a bald eagle hanging around and hunting during our stay.This place was already perfect for us, but if it had kayaks and a picnic table, it would easily be a 6 out of 5 stars! We'd love to come back.

What a GREAT place to stay!

The only reason I don't give six stars is because they don't allow it. I wanted to leave a review the second we walked in the door. This is one of our favorite properties that we've ever stayed at. The property and grounds are fantastic, well maintained. Having access to such a large stretch of Beach was perfect. We brought our dog and she had the greatest time. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked with so many different options for cooking. You name it. They have it. The neighbors on the west side of the property, we're incredibly friendly. Gave us a nice wave almost every single day. They have a pair of two cute dogs. If you're looking for a great place to stay, and you're torn between this property and another, have confidence that you're making the right choice. We hope to stay here again.

A Family Retreat

The property was a great and relaxing destination for our family. Very accommodating for five adults and one dog, the property offered all amenities we needed and provided comfortable sleeping quarters. The weather was a bit cooler, so we utilized the fire pit and comfy outdoor chairs. Aside from the mayflies, the property host was responsive to our questions and provided all necessary information in advance of our arrival. Would book again!

Nice Property on Green Bay in Cedar River, MI

This is a renovated log cabin right on Green Bay. It’s been well-cared-for, and owners have thought of several ways to make guests feel welcomed and comfortable. Instructions and description were brief, concise, and appreciated. We would definitely rent again if plans take us to that area again. Thank you for such a pleasant stay.

Getaway in UP Michigan

My wife and I and hounds loved our stay. Cabin was very clean and exactly as described. Super comfortable bed and well stocked kitchen. Both bathrooms were newly renovated…wish I could take home with me!!! Setting is very private and nothing compares to that fire pit on the lake. Highly recommend R&J from NC mountains

Beachfront Log Cabin

The communication before arrival and the provided directions were excellent. The bathrooms, rooms, and kitchen were spotless, except for the kitchen cabinet doors. On our first morning, a woman from the neighboring property approached me, asking if we planned to stay all day because she intended to mow. I informed her of our plans to stay and inquired how long it would take—45 minutes. She neither confirmed whether she would proceed nor asked if it was an issue. She did not introduce herself, leaving me unsure of her identity. Later, while I was reading at the beach, the tractor mower began operating in the rental property’s beach and garden area, creating noise that drove me indoors. The person on the mower did not address me or ask for permission to proceed. Aside from this, our stay was pleasant, and the cabin met all advertised expectations. The greeting iPad on the kitchen counter indicated a checkout time of 11 am. I suggest updating this to reflect the local time accurately, considering the CST/EST time difference, to avoid confusion.

Directions to cabin a bit convoluted. Was not that difficult to find. Was lovely. Mosquitoes were probably at their worst so was difficult to enjoy the outside. A screen porch or gazebo would have been great. Well stocked & thoughtfully set up for guests.

Nice Waterfront Cottage

Overall, the cottage was very nice and clean and the location is hard to beat. The lake being right there and being able to wade out to waist area 100 yards into the water was great.

Peaceful family time

We had a great stay at the cabin. The kids can't wait to go back. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Fire ring was perfect. The beach was nice but could have been dragged a few times, the bird droppings were plentiful. That didn't stop the kids though, they were in the water everyday. The only draw back had nothing to do with the property. The neighbors burnt a ton of trash one night. Thankfully the breeze was in our favor or it would have been a miserable night. It was a great trip, the kids can't wait to come back. Beautiful, Thank you!

Fantastic location log cabin with open great room

Loved the short walk out the back door to the firepit and ‘private’ beach and warm shallow water. Grilled outside every night. Nicely appointed kitchen for an older home.

Very peaceful

Just as advertised. We even had deer walk past the wall of windows. The beach was fantastic and a short walk for me.. we had a fire I. The morning to drink our coffee and to hear the waves….we even saw eagles. Which was fantastic

Cedar Cabin By The Bay was the perfect getaway!

This cabin is just steps from the water, and has the best set up for a relaxing break for cooking in the fully equiped kitchen, sleeping in the comfortable beds, enjoying a fore in the pit by the lake, and relaxing in the shade of the trees. This cabin has updated bathrooms (with a rain shower) and an open kitchen/dining/living room set up with gorgeous windows that face the lake. I would height recommend this cabin to anyone, and we hope to return again soon!

Excellent property in a beautiful location with all the amenities. The beach is great for kids and a dog. The only drawback was that tree cutting happened in the neighboring property which created a lot of noise. But that has nothing to do with the property itself. Would visit again.

Wonderful place to spend with family

We hade a little problem with one of the beds, they fixed it right away. Wonderful place if you have kids my kids hade a blast time in the sand and lake. I recomend this resident, definitely will be back 😁

Awesome stay!

Our family had an amazing time at this cabin right on Lake Michigan! The place was off the main road set back in the woods and right in the water which allowed for privacy. Loved that this cabin was pet friendly and very clean, organized and beautiful! Thank you for our stay and helping us to make awesome summer memories!

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!

This place is truly great. The cabin is SO cute and well maintained and my husband said multiple times "I wish we owned this!" Having the beach right in your front yard is so great, and we spent lots of time on the chairs down there just soaking it all in. It's so nice that the water is shallow for like 50 feet out, because you can walk around in the water and it only comes to mid calf region. This was perfect for our dog (a short legged corgi) who had the time of his life. I truly think this place was his definition of heaven. While it is remote, we found a restaurant just two miles down the road (The Halfway) and went there both nights for dinner. We chatted with the owner, who is LOVELY, and she takes such pride in the place. The food was outstanding as well. For breakfast, just next door to the highway there is a gas station with a restaurant inside that serves AMAZING food as well. We were so happy to discover these places because after full days of exploring, we wanted something close to eat. But back to the property - run, dont walk to book this place. The cabin is huge, the bathrooms are super nice, and the best are VERY comfy. 10/10 for this place. We will hopefully be back soon!
