"Little Brick House on Main (1865)”

Slow down at this cozy, centrally-located brick cottage in historic Ste. Genevieve. The original home of John and Francesca Hael in the 1860's, you won't find a more authentic old town experience than you will get at "the little brick house" on Main Street. Enjoy mornings at the local coffee shops and bakeries (‘Rooted’ Coffee is directly across the street) and evenings on the back porch with a glass of wine from one of our local wineries.

The back yard is large and private. There is wildlife and local animals - all welcome here.


There is a train that goes by several times a day and sometimes at night, so be prepared. It is part of the Ste. Genevieve experience!


We shop locally when we can - enjoy local handmade locally-made soap with each stay. We encourage guests to support local businesses!

Includes Wifi, and a small smart TV (24") with HBO and Hulu.
Full kitchen and coffee bar with all the amenities included.

Comfortable stay in a great location

What a beautiful and comfortable place to stay. More room than you’d expect. The location is so convenient to shops and the many historic homes. Will absolutely stay here again on our next visit to Ste. Genevieve!

A Perfect Little Brick House

Fabulous stay in Ste. Genevieve

The little brick house on Main Street is right in the heart of Ste. Genevieve. This beautifully decorated home from 1865 is comfy, cozy retreat in this historic town. Lots of cute shops, coffeehouses, and restaurants on the same block.

A girls’ getaway

We throroughly enjoyed our stay at this adorable home! Everything was spot on. Super clean, accommodating and quiet made it the perfect location for our weekend. We absolutely loved that we could walk out the door and be close to everything we wanted to do in St Genevieve. Charming and historic home to stay! Loved being in such a historic home, right on Main Street! The home is decorated perfectly, but updated with modern amenities (including AC) and very comfortable. In the middle of all of the history of Ste Genevieve. I don't hesitate to whole-heartedly recommend!

Quick Getaway

This home is lovely! It was perfect for our friend getaway. The home had everything we needed and was so beautiful. The history of the home was well kept with the modern convenience available. It’s the perfect location too. We parked in front of the home and walked all over downtown with no problem. Absolutely would stay again!

Tastiest Little House

Everything well thought out. Perfect antiques from the period. Wonderful bed. Great sandwiches across the street. Location puts you walking distance from super restaurants - Audubon and the Anvil. Forest service tours a must see for viewing historic buildings. Don’t miss the honey store.

Perfect in Every Way

Booked a last minute meet up in Ste. Gen with friends traveling the "great river road". The Little Brick House was perfect for our group of 3. Comfortable, very clean and had everything we needed. 25th Birthday

We had such a cozy and lovely stay! Drove out to Ste. Genevieve to spend my friend's 25th Birthday! The house was the best for a cozy stay and the little shops were within perfect walking distance! Played lots of games, drank lots of coffee and had lots of laughs. Highly recommend for those who want a quiet little place to get away for a bit! Thank you for such a lovely stay!

Amazing communication with property manager

The house was so quaint and cute. We had a quick overnight stay but enjoyed and had a comfy night’s rest. The fridge had extras for us, fresh flowers, clean and close proximity to everything in town. Heidi was so quick to answer all my questions!!

Girls Fall Get A Way

We stayed in the spring and had to come back for more fun. Very nice location. Can walk everywhere and shop all the unique shops. We even attended a live acoustical performance next door to us and hope to see this musician in the future making it big.

Made a great occasion even better

We were there for our grandson's wedding. This little house exceeded all expectation. Just lovely and with so many extra thoughtful touches, i.e. pumpkins and fall flowers for cozy October. Too many to list.

Charming and comfortable

We appreciated the Little Brick House for its charm and warmth, and the understated decorations that didn’t outshine the history and character of the structure. It is in a convenient and walkable location, and we enjoyed walking to restaurants, historic structures, and shops. I also really appreciated having a queen bed and two twin beds so that my teenage boys didn’t have to share a bed (so many listings have two queens to sleep four people, and teenage boys don’t want to he’d share with each other or with a parent!).
