Jake & Wilma's - Private Country Estate

  • This country retreat offers relaxed indoor and outdoor living. The house offers three bedrooms in addition to a private Primary Suite. Two queen sleeper sofas provide additional sleep space. Three full baths and one half bath is a true convenience. A newly renovated kitchen sets the stage for easy food preparation. After a wonderful day enjoying the local area the gorgeous brick patio is ready for resting, dining and watching the stars! Light a fire in the firepit located on the patio. Enjoying a glass of wine with the warmth of the fire and friends is the perfect way to end a day!

One of my favorite VRBO’s we’ve ever stayed at. You can feel the family love in this house (and coming to stay with my extended fam for a family wedding, it fit the vibe check). This home is a PERFECT retreat getaway!! It’s close enough to town for necessities and exploring but far enough out to enjoy the quiet, slow life!! Excellent home and area. Honestly, there is more room to sit and talk than there are bedrooms. Plenty of space for meals and hanging with extended family, both indoors and outdoors. Only a few cycling miles to downtown Elkin. Stop by Dirty Joe’s for a morning cup of coffee.

Super Special Country Oasis

We rented this home for our family to stay in for our son's wedding at Whispering Ridge Farms. This is the first time I've so impressed by a VRBO rental. Not only is this home so pretty and homey, it has such a special story. Plus, the property is absolutely beautiful. Cows grazing, outdoor seating and fire pit. I would highly recommend! I would buy this house and move in tomorrow if it were closer. Lots of space and very clean. LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT!!

Absolutely the perfect location. The house and property are breathtaking. Close enough to everything. Anything we thought we didn’t bring was available at the house. We saw the car, an owl and deer while there. The history of the property is interesting. The Christmas tree memorial is so special.

This property was excellent. Close to everything but peaceful. Beds slept great. Kitchen well stocked. Happy to find the same grill I use at home. Bathrooms recently remodeled. Girlfriends Getaway!

We had 6 ladies stay at the house and could have fit several more. The house is spacious, comfortable, well stocked and extremely clean. The personal touches throughout feels like you are staying with family. The updates to the kitchen, bathroom, and main suite were beautifully done. The outside is picturesque complete with a beautiful patio and firebox. The house is close to everything but feels off the beaten path (in the best way) due to the long driveway and story book like surroundings We would definitely stay here again if visiting the Elkin area. The host Sharon was a joy to work with and communicated updates and information throughout the whole process. Thank you for such a memorable 40th birthday getaway!
