Top Starvation Lake Hotel Reviews
The Lodge at Cedar River, Shanty Creek Resort
10/10 Excellent
"Scored a great deal on a 1 BR suite. This room had 2 queen size beds, and a sofa bed in the living room. In addition, the unit had a mini kitchen, private furnished balcony, a fireplace, and a jetted bathtub. The room was very well-maintained and had a comfy and cozy vibe, especially with the fireplace on."
Spillway Lodges
10/10 Excellent
"Very clean and well appointed! The beds are comfy and the shower had plenty of hot water and good water pressure. We didn’t use the hot tubs/sauna or cold plunge but they looked nice! Close to Bellaire and Mammoth (which is my fav as I don’t drink beer or cider so Short’s really isn’t the appeal to me for drinks). There’s other places too. All within walking distance. They asked that we put trash outside, pile towels on floor (which I do anyway) but I shouldn’t have to worry about trash at all for what we paid. It also looks a tad junky to have trash bags outside a door on check out day! I would re-think that policy. I loaded the dishwasher with the very few things we used (just coffee mugs and the coffee pot carafe and brew basket/filter) but I couldn’t start it and honestly, I didn’t want to keep messing with it! I’m We would stay here again for sure!"

"Staff was extremely friendly and the room was clean!"
The Lakeview Hotel, Shanty Creek Resort
8/10 Good
"Room was clean, bed was comfortable, furniture was old, water pressure in shower was very weak and toggled back & forth between hot & cold. Restaurant and coffee shop were quite expensive and coffee shop did not take cash."
Grand Victorian B&B Inn

Torch Lake Sandbar Waterfront Home - with Dock!
10/10 Excellent
"This was a great location to stay and spend time with friends while exploring Michigan for the weekend! We visited Fishtown, Sleeping Bear Dunes, and Mackinac Island. The beautiful home is just as pictured and provided any amenity that we could ever think of. We really enjoyed hanging around the fire pit and watching sunrise from the dock. It was also conveniently located near a grocery store. The owners are very friendly, and we appreciated the gift of items to make s’mores! I would definitely recommend this Torch Lake home!"
