  • Standing under the Natural Bridge in Slade Kentucky. Its namesake natural bridge is the centerpiece of the park. The natural sandstone arch spans 78 ft (24 m) and is 65 ft (20 m) high. The natural process of weathering formed the arch over millions of years. The park is approximately 2,300 acres (9 km2) of which approximately 1,200 acres (5 km2) is dedicated by the Office of Kentucky Nature Preserves as a nature preserve. #Nature

  • This is sky bridge. The most massive arch in Red River. it spans over a hundred feet and about 50 feet in the air. Probably the most famous arch in Red River, it has been seen in movies. Many astro-photographers flock here because of it's structure and clear skyline. If you get a chance, the trail is only .8 miles and very much worth it. You first walk across the top of the arch, it is so big that you are halfway across before you notice your not just on a narrow rock path. then you circle around to be under the arch.

First off have to say hands off to the owners. This property was just perfect. I couldn’t say enough about the overall home feeling. From the back it looks like an ordinary shipping container. You come around to the front to a very calming patio setup with the hot tub, fire pit that was ready to go with everything needed including a log splitter to assist with cutting down your wood. Hot tub was ready to go, even had a grill with fuel to prepare first nights meal. Then you step inside.. the WOW factor for the inside is just not enough. Everything down to the smallest details were just perfect. With such a small space, they managed to make everything possible while still presenting comfort. The all nature wood and feel to the cabin made this stay perfect. We spent our days seeing the trail heads and at night soaking in the hot tub under the stars, firing up the grill for some steaks. Having our meal on the patio looking off to the ridge and cliff of RRG was beyond perfect!!! THANK YOU again for this little piece of heaven can’t wait to come back for another visit!!!

Perfect little getaway! We came down to hike RRG and found this gem to stay in. It felt private, and had a beautiful view. Amanda was very responsive to all questions and the property was extremely clean and well kept. Will book again next trip.

We absolutely loved this stay! One of our favorites for sure. The hot tub was a special touch! We seen turkey and deer and the weather was a little rainy but we slept so good with the rain coming down on the metal.

The container

We had an amazing weekend at the container. The hot tub was fantastic and the view was beautiful. The only problem that we had was it said it was easily accessible and it wasn't for a motorcycle which is what we were on.

Anniversary Getaway

My wife and I stayed here to celebrate our 20 year anniversary. We wanted something that wasn’t a tourist trap but close enough to some stuff and this fit the bill. We loved everything about our stay here and would 100% stay here again. Very clean and comfortable. This was a peaceful oasis that we needed! Host was very friendly and attentive.

Off the grid, but not!

Loved our stay at your container cabin! The rental had literally everything we could want, and a beautiful setting to boot! The weather didn't allow us to enjoy the fire pit or hot tub until the last night, but we thoroughly enjoyed them then! We loved having the day to hike and relaxing with some TV and games at night. Shower worked great. Washer and dryer also very convenient. Very impressed with all this container had to offer. Maybe we'll be back some weekend in the future! Thank you for hosting!

Everything We Wanted

We wanted to stay someplace that was quiet and peaceful that allowed us to enjoy what makes the area unique. We also wanted a kitchen, washer and dryer, and a hot tub. We could not have chosen a better place to stay! The owners are gracious and have obviously put a lot of thought and care into their units. We had a lot of questions and host Amanda kindly answered everything. The location was perfect, giving us immediate access to all of the hiking and parks, and surprisingly only about an hour from Lexington.At her suggestion we did bring a couple of extra blankets in case we needed them (March trip) but were very comfortable. We also brought our own towels for the hot tub.It's a single shipping container so it's exactly as pictured - one large room with a separate NICE bathroom. Great couple getaway!

We loved the location and the view at the den! The space is nice and the perfect size for 2 adults. We enjoyed the view and the hot tub and loved that it felt secluded. I would be careful on the drive up Star Gap since it’s a narrow road with some spots that are hard to see. We had some trucks coming down as we went up and there wasn’t really anywhere to move over, but we got lucky most of the time with no traffic going the other direction. We enjoyed Toad’s, Miguel’s, Gorge Underground, Auxier Trail, and Daniel Boone’s Coffee Shop (3 times!). Nothing was more than a 15 minute drive with the exception of the trail we chose being more like 25 minutes. Would stay in a shipping container cabin again!
