Red River Gorge

The cabin was close enough to everything we wanted to do. We hiked, visited the lodge, kayaked and had delicious food. The area is beautiful. The property manager responded immediately to any questions I had.

Cousins get away

We loved the rustic feel and the hot tub. We hiked behind the cabin. The driveway was a bit rough but we have a 4x4 truck so that helped. Plenty of room for 5 adult sized people.

It was beautiful clean and relaxing. The cabin was well stocked. No wifi but not a problem. All the attractions are a very close drive. We have family in the area. Will DEFINATELY be back.

Nice cabin in the woods

This was a very nice clean cabin. The decor was tastefully done with decent quality bedding and towels. It is set at the end of a quiet road

Beautiful cabin

Very spacious. Clean. Loved the hot tub. Nice kitchen. We could not get the dvd player to work. Tiny showers. Scary driveway, but worth it for the views and the property. Don’t miss the arch on the way up!

Up in the Trees!

Beautiful spot. 15-20min away from most RRG crags. The only thing our crew would change is storing extra trash bags/tp/paper towels. We cook a lot and it was hard to clean up after ourselves by the end of the week with only one trash bag supplied ;)

The cabin is nice however is not the cabin photos listed for the property. Many cobwebs inside property. Decks and steps have not been sweep or cleared from cobwebs for a long time. Photos of street going to property maybe be a highway picture but not at all what the road looks like .

A pleasant stay

We enjoyed our stay. The location was very private. There are 46 steps up to get into the cabin. Beware of the upstairs bathroom door. If you pull it shut, you cannot get in or out as the door latch needs adjusted. The fire pit was nice. We would stay again.

Tall Timber

The property was beautiful. You definitely need four wheel drive to get to the cabin. Coming from flat Ohio, the hills were no joke. By the end of our stay we were more comfortable driving them. The tv didn't work but after notifing the manager it was fixed. Great trip.

Friends winter weekend getaway

I’m a KY resident and have been visiting the Gorge for decades. I’ve stayed at plenty of cabins in the area and have wised up to watch these 'builders' have been up to.Tall Timbers is a solid 6. I’d rank it lower if it weren’t for the fact it was a cheap option.Pros: close proximity to the parks tunnel entrance/gas/food, a big covered porch, and a quality hot tub w/ a view.Cons: uncomfortable beds, cold kitchen floor, & a janky interior.

This property was a nice size for a family of 5. However, the TV would not turn on even after the batteries were replaced. The couch smelled like it had been peed on either by a pet or a human. We contacted management and the only thing they did to address the issue was to bring us new batteries. However, this did not fix the issue with the TV. The second story windows were also covered in cob webs. The hot tub was clean and we enjoyed spending time in it as well as hiking on the trails around the cabin. If we ever come back, we will look for another cabin in the area.

Beautiful wooded setting but drive up to cabin incline a little challenging for small cars and road washed out in several places. Couch and beds were clean comfortable. Cabin itself needed a few wear and tear repairs.

Overall good

Nice hiking trails all around and very close to good scenic views, restaurants, and tourist spots. Close to town so easy access to gas and food. Things to fix/Know before you go: - Rat poop in the bathrooms and dirty jacuzzi. - TV and DVD player didn’t work. - Kitchen has missing accessories (oven pans, sharp knives) - VERY steep driveway to get to the cabin. Cars without all wheel drive beware (especially in bad weather)
