Property could use a renovation but it still maintains its older charm at the same time. Great area and right around the corner from the beach!

Lage toll. Einrichtung usw nett, aber ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen. Sauberkeit ging so. Kinderbetten gräßlich, Doppelbett ok. Aber alles in allem zu empfehlen.

Good area

Condo is in a good area close by to many restaurants and things to do. Beach and pool were not very enjoyable as the water was SO hot, not even refreshing. Not the condos fault, just mother nature. Only downside was half of our family had to go home due to the place not being handicap accessible with no elevator. That was a big bummer. We had to pay 75 for an extra parking permit due to this, when the vehicle that had the free permit, didn't even stay.

St. Pete Beach getaway

Bright, clean condo with accurate listing. The Friendly Native is a wonderful location directly across from Upham Beach entrance. There is a sweet pool on property, too. Thanks for hosting us! We had a great vacation

This is the perfect spot to stay for beach access. Everything you need is in the apartment. Nicely renovated and a comfortable bed!

LOCATION IS AMAZING!

Our family of 4 stayed at this well appointed condo while visiting college with our son. The location of the condo was wonderful (about a 30 second walk to the beach), and the pool was clean and uncrowded. Parking was never a problem, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back!

Great location

We had a great time at St Pete. Very convenient location. Everything you need around. I was please to find beach umbrella, a folding chair, noodles a skimboard and a thermo bag that we used every day at the beach for cold drinks and subs . I can't wait to come back.

Beach vibes

Location to beach can’t be beat. Updated furnishings and decor. Living room was very comfortable. King bed was well appointed and comfy as well. Second bedroom best for younger kids or girls but our teen boys did well- especially with open and large living space.

Nice little place to stay.

It worked out great for our vacation. Due to the small stove we decided to eat out and not cook for the week. There are some upgrades. Would be nice to have a broom in the condo to sweep the floor periodically.

Great location

We really loved being so close to the beach! Our kids (6&8yearsold) loved the pool. We didn’t really use the kitchen but it was nice to have the option to make a pizza or have a bowl of cereal instead of going out. Ricks Reef was probably our favorite spot for dinner. The only thing I would mention is that the updated shower was a little annoying as the glass door isn’t ideal, the water from the shower sprays onto the floor , can’t change the aim of the shower head. The place is beautiful and plenty of room. Thank you

Just As Advertised

I knew the location of this condo would be perfect as I scouted the location last year on a previous trip. It is SO convenient - walking distance to the beach and plenty of restaurants! The the newly refurbished condo was just as the photos advertised. It actually seemed a little more spacious than it looked in the pictures. It was great to relax and recharge between outings. The only setback was that the room wasn’t ready at 4 PM. Roger compensated us for our trouble and got it cleaned within a few hours. All of our questions were answered quickly. We would highly recommend it to everyone!

Cancelled Stay 2 hours prior to check in

I cannot accurately rate the listing. I didn’t get to stay at the property. The property manager cancelled 2 hours prior to check in due to some incomplete maintenance?! Why the cancellation couldn’t have been made in advance is concerning, but vrbo tried to help. I was still stranded on the phone in a parking lot for a couple hours during what should have been a relaxing part of a family birthday celebration.

Dated property, great location

The friendly native is a great location. We have stayed in another unit in the complex in the past and really enjoyed ourselves there. In this unit the beds and other furniture are old and uncomfortable. The shower has poor water pressure and there is no dishwasher. The unit overall is in need of updates and renovation. The ownership team was very responsive to requests (unit needed dishwashing detergent and it was f delivered within 30 minutes) and the parking coordinator was helpful when we needed to swap out our car and register a different plate.

Clean inside but very old

Hands down, a great location. Loved the area so much! The unit is soooo old. It was clean in the sense the cleaners did all they could do. However, expect big rust spots in the shower and sink, all drawers on dresser were broken, things like that. For the price, I’m not complaining, it just is what it is. The two biggest negatives- the bed and the common hallway. The beds were awful, no other word to describe it. The hallway entering the building was the worst smell I could imagine. A mix of wet carpet with all dried fish. We would count down before walking out the condo door and race to get outside while holding our breath. Would I stay in this unit again? No. Was I mad about it given the price point? No. I had realistic expectations. The manager was super responsive, he is not responsible for the negatives, it is obvious they are Doing the best they can with the unit.

Served our purposes.

Slept 7 comfortably, centrally located to things we wanted to do, beach was great and so close, loved the heated pool. Plenty of kitchen things. Lots of hooks in all the rooms. Great set up. Suggestions leave an empty cupboard in the kitchen for guests to put their own things. We had 7 people and only 5 forks. The hosts response to any issues were handled quickly and efficiently! We would definitely stay again. Thanks

The place was filthy

We called Roger property manager to tell him how dirty the place was as soon as we arrived! Dust bunnies in corners and layered on vents, bathroom scum on walls of not being cleaned, blow dryer from 1980’s non operating, bathtub has worn marks down to iron, kitchen sink has burn marks on either side, and bed is so old and worn it sinks in middle!!! Our backs and necks are absolutely ruined!!! My sister had 2 asthma attacks after visiting and one that sent her to the hospital overnight on a breathing treatment because the place is so moldy and musty!! And no rerun calls! Pathetic!!!!!

Short walk

The location can’t be beat, short walk to the beach and to several restaurants/ shops. Easy on/ off the main drag to get into St. Petersburg itself (in town for a swim meet, but wanted easy beach access). Condo itself was more than adequate, starting show its age in places, but it was clean, well stocked and roomy enough for our family of 4. Would definitely stay here again.
