"We had a wonderful stay. Hosts were amazing and so welcoming. Everywhere was lovely and fresh and clean. Plenty of space to park. Such a peaceful location. Would definitely recommend and would love to go back sonetime. Thank you"

"Beautiful building but lack of attention to detail. Upon arrival in spa, went to make a cup of hot tea and there was no sugar or stir sticks or spoons. Wanted to enjoy the hot tub before massage and it was like a barely warm bath plus the jets were spraying up at your face so you couldn’t sit without getting water in the face. Two lockers didn’t work. The massage staff was friendly but it was definitely fluff and buff- not much pressure so that was a disappointment. The main restaurant was fully booked and only time we could eat at the casual bar was 9 pm- so we had no dinner. Spa suite was spacious and well designed but the lights didn’t work and the hairdryer back piece kept falling off. Not impressed."

"Room was clean but very tired as was the building in general . Breakfast was plenty but cooked breakfast was not fresh as in sausages were hard to cut and bacon crispy and dry . Have stayed there many times in the past, it’s a lovely building in style but unfortunately hasn’t been lovingly cared for by Greene King brewery. Shower was hot and quite powerful but no shower/bath mat available was a case of do I break anything on my body trying to climb out of bath as so slippery "

"Lindsey and Richard run a wonderful B&B with a cooked to order breakfast with farm fresh eggs. The rooms are spotless and well taken care of during the stay by Lindsey. The area is quiet at night for a good sleep, the yard and gardens lovely, and an excellent pub close by. We really hope to be back one day."

"Kitchen is fully stocked and Angela even left us some breakfast food which was so nice This place is absolutely great!We were in town for a family funeral so the evening relaxation was great "

"The property was as the photos described and it was an absolutely stunning location. The suit of armour was really cool! Despite the suggestions below we would definitely come and stay again, the whole place was really relaxing and comfortable and felt like being in an episode of Jonathan Creek."

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Chestnut Tree. Lisa, the host was the main reason, she is a great communicator which is important when booking. She was so very helpful with local information and incredibly kind. Our room was beautiful and the amenities in the bathroom delightful. The area is beautiful but with only one night, we didn’t get the change to do much exploring. Next time. Thank you Lisa for a wonderful stay."

"After our last property this was a palace. The location was quiet and serene with lots of deer grazing right up to the property. The property was faultless - clean, comfortable and relaxing. The owners were extremely welcoming. The welcome pack was most generous and welcomed. I am sure we will return in the future."

"We had an absolutely wonderful week at Ridge Hill Manor together with our greater family. The house and garden are beautiful, and there are lovely dog walks from the house in all directions. East Grinstead is only a few minutes drive away, yet the location feels very rural. Conveniently situated for days out at places like Standen House, Chartwell and Glyndebourne. Pete was very helpful and communication easy. The only things we missed were a history of the house (which we got via WhatsApp after asking) and maybe a few more kitchen utensils (like for example a water jug). We would all love to come back!"
