"This inn blew me away. I love an old New England inn. I also love a luxurious, hip boutique hotel. This place manages to combine to two seamlessly. My room was small but so cozy and comfortable I didn’t mind. Location is fabulous - a short walk to town. And the breakfast, wow. No boring continental situation here. The buffet hit all the right notes. The whole place did in fact."
"The location was wonderful and the view of the water out the back door was beautiful. Bed was comfortable and Belfast is so close to go to eat or shop. I would stay here again if I came back. The only negative feedback was our back door to our deck was rotted on the bottom and was very difficult to shut. We had to forcibly push on the door to shut it completely. We enjoyed our stay!"
"Wonderful stay! Host super friendly. Each unit has a firepit that the host will light for you. Nice break from the crowds. Needed a recharge and we got it. I will definitely stay here again."
"The property is currently undergoing renovations, and the newly updated rooms are exceptional. They feature attractive laminate flooring, updated bathrooms, new bedding, drapes, and furniture. During our stay, the General Manager mentioned that approximately 19 rooms had already been renovated, with another 19 currently in progress.
The suites are spacious and comfortable. I have stayed here before, but this was my first time in one of the newly renovated rooms, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and attention to detail.
The complimentary breakfast is continental style and includes items such as breakfast bars, donuts, oranges, apples, coffee, and juice. While it is fairly simple, I appreciated that they provide bags so guests can conveniently take items to go.
One added convenience is that Governors Restaurant is connected to the hotel, making it easy to enjoy a full breakfast or meal without leaving the property. It would be a nice touch if the hotel offered guests a discount coupon for the restaurant.
The pool is located outdoors. We did not use it during this visit, and since it was under construction the last time we stayed, I am not sure whether it is currently open and operating.
Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and were impressed with the renovations. We would definitely return in the future."
