Welcome to Mimi's Beach Cottage

  • Two bedroom two bath home located right on the beach. This home has a dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, fully stocked kitchen, outdoor shower, deck overlooking the gulf and an outdoor grill. NO SMOKING, NO PETS.

    BED SIZES: 1K, 1Q, T/T BUNK BED

    Suncoast Vacation Rentals offers a wide selection of beach homes and cottages on St. George Island ranging from one to eight bedrooms. Our rates are some of the most competitive on the island, for which we provide nice beach homes for an affordable price. All of our beach homes have televisions with cable and DVD/VCR's. Most have charcoal grills, washers and dryers. Please take a moment and browse through our selection of vacation homes. The location was superb, right on the beach. Also easy to walk 20 minutes to town center. Two bedrooms each with a bathroom worked well for us. Beautiful covered patio deck with nice outdoor furniture. Easy check in.

The ocean is your back yard and it’s a nice fairly flat walk to the water. Nice new deck and boardwalk with great outdoor furniture. We liked it so much we went ahead and booked another stay. The location is great. Short distance to restaurants, etc. in a golf cart acceptable area. Overall a great little place with great people.

The location of this property was great. It had a lot of living space and a covered porch. The house needs upgrading, especially the kitchen which is quite old. Most of the house is missing baseboards which may have contributed to the roach problem. Despite the excellent location, I do not plan to rebook this house.

We fell in love with it as soon as we drove up and parked under the covered circular driveway. The view are spectacular. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked in a few times. The only negatives were the dilapidated rails on the walkway to the beach. The little walkway needs so care - could be a hurtful experience for Littles. Also, the exterminator must have been there at sometime before as my husband had a daily sweep up of dead or dying cockroaches (palmetto bugs) but dead or dying is better than fast and where did it go?Looking forward to revisiting Mimi's Beach House again!

Cute place. Great location

Overall it met our needs very well. It is a cute place and we all hope that someone will put some work into maintenance very soon. Outside front steps and rail was difficult to navigate for person with mobility issues. Back deck and walk way really needed some maintenance, shower and foot rinse hose was difficult to use due to leakage and the broken chairs distracted from overall feel. It is adorable and really needs someone to give it some love.

Functional Older House in a Great Location

Beds and towels were clean and there were no signs of bedbugs (I always check). House is very open and bright. Lots of windows, all with new blinds. You can see everything from nearly everywhere. Good for people traveling with kids. Front porch was very recently redone and the chairs out there look new as well. There is a clothesline out front for drying your clothes.Short, easy walk to the beach. $$$ PRICE PRICE PRICE $$$CONSThey must have sprayed for roaches before our arrival because we found several dead or dying Palmetto roaches throughout the house. Outdoor shower is broken.Needs maintainance in several ways. Door knobs are jiggly/screws are pushing out, some electrical outlets are missing faceplates, needs some new caulk here and there/baseboards. Couch is a little dingy. Overall, the place looks functional, but "worn."The kitchen could use some new utensils. No pizza cutter/not many sharp knives/no scissors/no hot pads and the cookie sheets do not fit in the oven. Overall, this might be too "lived in" for some persnickety people. But we found nothing we couldn't endure for a week and the location/price makes up for any issues.

The internal and external doors need replacing. A nicer set of kitchen non-stick skillets would be nice. It would also be nice if some of the windows in the kitchen, living room, and main bedroom had screens. The weather in the spring and fall is very nice and the house could use some fresh air. The new back porch furniture is very nice and comfortable. Some of the boards to the water need to be replaced. The house is not much to look at from the street, but wouldn't take much to make it more inviting. We love the fact that it is a ground level home due to health issues.

Long time visitor to Mimi's

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Love the location and the size and design of the house. Not impressed with the way the house is maintained. Each visit we have to clean before we can unpack and relax. They do a very light and rushed cleaning. This visit the counters were dirty, grapes on the floor under the dining table, sand on the floors and under the furniture. The frig smelled like it was wiped with bleach. The garbage can smelled horrible. I had to soak it over night to get the smell out. It had clean sheets but the bed spreads smell and needed to be cleaned. I killed 3 spiders and 3 big roaches in ghe first few days. Not sure when the house was last sprayed. My biggest complaint is the worn out mattress in the master bedroom. I complained about it the last 4 visits. When i asked about it this visit i was told that she had no idea, she only worked weekends. I did notice a new couch and chair in the. Livingroom. Glad to see that. And no screens on the windows. Mimi's is a very comfortable hous. Just needs to be upgraded. The owner is making plenty of profit to maintain this house. We will contiue to come 2 or 3 times a year however we have learned to oacm accordingly. We bring our cleaning supplies, cooking utensils/dishes, toilet paper and paper towels, linen for the beds, garbage bags and anything you think you will need for grilling or cooking. Silverware, knives and can openers are limited. 2 can openers both broken, knives very dull, etc. Stove top and oven work poorly. Hate to leave a poor review, but maybe it will get someones attention. It is a nice house and great location, just needs tlc
