Rome was clean and comfortable. The building is a little in need of some love, but nothing too noteworthy - it’s just a little worn out. It was quiet and very close to everything. There are a lot of restaurants and bars on this side of the river, and it’s a short walk across the bridge to the historic old town. The deck on the water is really nice. What makes this place stand out is the staff. Everyone was so nice, and friendly, and they put together really nice experiences for breakfast and social hour. They were what made this choice worth it! Highly recommended. One small suggestion - if you’re in the rooms on the “street side”, the walkway in front of those rooms has the lights situated directly above the room windows, and the windows have blinds - but no black out curtains. So if you are sensitive to light while you sleep - bring your eye mask. The rooms along the water don’t have as bad an issue as the walkway lights are situated above the doors - but I imagine they could be a little bright too. The rooms really could use some black out curtains…
The street side rooms have light situated right above the room windows and are bright inside at night.

Staff was great. Rick was super nice and helpful Room, a/c front cover was hanging off as well as the smoke detector cover. The shower grout needs to be cleaned better. The bed was comfortable. Location excellent for downtown and for the amphitheater.

Convenient 8 min walk over bridge to old town district. Breakfast and social hour were great. The outside looks a little dumpy but the rooms were renovated, spacious and clean. Wish we had a room on water side.

Breakfast was unique and tasty, quiche. Dining room view of waterfront. Parking right in front of room, convenient. Staff friendly and helpful. Room was clean bed excellent, nice shower. Patio out to waterfront where we sat in the morning with our coffees. Room could use a repaint, but really overall we loved it there,would not stay anywhere else, close walk over the bridge to town.

From check-in to check-out our stay at Edgewater Inn was wonderful. Nothing could surpass the beautiful scenery right outside our door. The room was large and very comfortable. The shower was wonderful. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. All staff at this hotel were very polite and helpful. I would certainly recommend this hotel to everybody who wants a great get-a-way with great views.

Parking was easy and secure - only one car per room, but there is parking on the side road. Breakfast was simple, but nice and included in room price. The view is AMAZING - and it is located at foot of the Bridge of Lions, so very convenient to walk into town and not have to worry about parking. Highly recommend. Rooms are a bit older, true Old Florida, but very clean and has nice amenities.

Great location for our trip to st Augustine. We came for our babymoon and my pregnant wife was able to walk to everything downtown in the historic district as well as the shrine. We had a car that we could leave parked at the hotel for free and take down to the beach. Breakfast was great. The employees are all awesome and friendly. Take advantage of the happy hour. The best part after all those great aspects is the view from the water view rooms. Being able to relax on a chair looking across the water at the city is amazing. Definitely want to come back here.

They advertise a bay view and I got a room with no water view at all. Without the view it’s just like an old motel. I would have never paid that much without having a nice view. One of the staff was rude. I asked for clarification on what was for breakfast because she explained it in a way I didn’t understand and she responded in a very snarky way. I don’t recommend

I thought I had a river-facing room. It was not clear that some rooms faced a side street. The room was fine, nothing wrong. Breakfast was good.

Staff was amazing. Took great pride in making sure clients needs were met. Nice wine and snack get together in the afternoon and very nice breakfast in the morning. Have stayed at the Edgewater before and we will stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at Edgewater Inn. The room was clean and ready upon our arrival. It’s especially good if you want easy access to downtown without paying premium historic-district prices.

The room was generally nice, however, the shower floor was kind of slippery and there’s a fair amount of mildew in the shower and the AC unit was very loud. also, the water from the shower and the sink had a distinct sulfuric odor but free drinking water was supplied. The staff was nice and the breakfast was good.
