「Beautiful cabin that is tastefully decorated. Very comfortable, beautiful scenery, clean, and the bed was amazing. I would give a 5 star rating, but there was no shower, just a beautiful stand alone tub. I wish I would of paid more attention when booking; a shower is a must for us. The water for the tub, was luke warm at best, but we were able to put hot water in a pan from the kitchen to take a hot bath. Loved the area and trips to Burnsville. The Pig and Grits Restaurant was great food, we...

「Beautiful property! We enjoyed the "swimming hole" in the heat and the kitchen was fully stocked. I would recommend an SUV or all wheel drive vehicle to be able to get in and out of the steep drive, but we loved the secluded feel of the property.」

「The home was very clean, exactly as described. I loved the mix of old and modern and the step back in time. There were many neat features of this home. Communication with the hosts was excellent. My family and I very much enjoyed our stay and would come back again. I highly recommend!」

「This house is amazing. That would be enough on its own but the view is unrivaled and cannot be put into words. Highly recommend this place. And to top it off the hosts couldn’t be any better. They are extremely professional and courteous. They thought of everything and even more. I can’t say enough good things about them. 」

「Absolutely charming and very well equipped small home. A lot of small amenities to make it welcoming. Didn't realize it had steps, that was our fault for not checking. We found the registration process to be confusing trying to do it through Expedia as it was a vbro. The owner went out of her way to be helpful.」

「extremely peaceful location and super cozy along with amazing kitchen appliances updated bathroom. I felt like I was at a high-end hotel.」

「Home away from home」

「I have rented many places and I’m ranking this as one of the best rentals I have ever rented.1. Communication: Ben was extremely responsive and friendly.2. Location: The town of Old Fort has gone through a lot in the past few years, but that has not diminished its charm and resilience. The house sits on a beautiful creek and has a great view of the sunrise which we enjoyed from the screened in porch. The house is walking distance from downtown. The downtown has several breweries with great...

「We loved the peaceful sound of the creek. Such a relaxing spot. Close to town but without traffic. We even got to watch a fawn running around and playing in the creek. We look forward to returning soon.」

「We loved our stay! We felt right at home! The set up was perfect with living and eating space downstairs and sleeping upstairs. The beds were beyond comfortable! Thank you for giving us a home away from home! We will definitely stay here again if we ever come back to Banner Elk!」
