This place was great they had everything you could need for your family. All sorts of extra things for our family. Home was very clean had everything you need in the kitchen. We loved the smore station and all the board games and toys for the pool. Our family had a great time. Josie the owner would check on us through messenger to make sure we had everything. This home was a perfect place for our family to enjoy family time together! The house is beautiful and spacious. There are so many activities provided within the house you never have to leave if you don’t want to. The host is truly wonderful and puts so many personal touches into the house. We cannot wait to visit again next year! From the youngest, to the teens , and the adults - we all felt the same .. we all cannot wait to come back and will definitely be booking this home again !!

What a wonderful home. It was plenty big enough for the eight of us. The grandkids enjoyed the pool and all the toys, it was so nice to have. Very happy that the pool had a baby fence, it gave us peace of mind. There are so many extras in this home, we are now spoiled and it’ll be hard to live up to. Did I mentioned the extras: snores bar, snack station, coffee and hot chocolate bar. A personalized welcome sign to greet us. We played connect four, rode the bikes, fished off the dock, kayaked around the canals, and so much more. The beds were so comfortable. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas which was a surprise, we all loved that. We enjoyed breakfast at silver dolphin-large portions and good food. You can feed the turtles while you wait for your breakfast. Visited Homosassa Springs- a must to see the manatees. Many attractions not too far away- rainbow springs, air boat tours, fishing charters, pine island, putt putt and more. Everything was in excellent condition including the kitchen pans to the life jackets. The owners were really prompt at responding to questions, always checking in to make everything was ok. Definitely recommend this home. Thank You for all that you do!

EXCEPTIONAL

The property was beyond amazing, and communication with Josie was exceptional. The house was perfect, from the cleanliness to all the amenities. The kitchen is stocked better than my own! You honestly don't need to bring much other than clothes and food. I've stayed at many VRBO's but none as well stocked as this. There were plenty of towels for showers, and an entire setup by the pool included towels, sunscreen, and a mini JBL for music. Outdoor games, baby toys, games, and cards were just a few of the items we used. There was so much I couldn't possibly list it all, but to say I was impressed is an understatement. We highly recommend this home . Bring your boat! Access to the gulf is right around the corner.

If you are looking at other places, look no further! This is it!! There were 7 of us, with 5 kids, so space and amenities were very important. There are at least 5 large areas just for hanging out, whether on a hammock, swing, or rooftop watching the sunset, there was plenty of space for us all. Josie has thought of everything, and laid out everything you could think of. Just bring your clothes, because almost everything is provided. There are four kayaks, one of which is a two-person, and we paddled out to the Gulf. The house is about 30 min away from Homassassa, where we went scalloping. We brought the scallops back and cooked them on the Blackstone and had smores, also which was provided by the house. We have stayed in other houses in Hernando, but this is by far our favorite. Thank you so much for your hospitality. It felt more like I was staying with a friend, then a rental, Thank you!

Couldn't have asked for a better vacation!

We recently stayed at Hernando Hideaway and I wanted to say that my entire family ages 7-75 had one of the best vacations in their life! The communication from the owner Josie was exceptional! I’ve worked in customer service for over 30 years and Josie provides some of the best customer service I have ever seen! Her emails are fast and detailed.The house itself has everything you need. A coffee station with K cups provided, starter condiments in the fridge, a huge variety of cookware, plates, cups, laundry detergent, s’mores kit, snacks, extra tooth brushes, toothpaste, etc… The house is clean and beds are comfortable.My kids loved fishing off the dock. We rented golf carts from sweat heart carts and drove to the bait shop. Josie had several fishing poles and other fishing equipment available for use. We caught catfish, crab, a stingray and other various fish. The dock has lights for night fishing and a sink to wash your hands.The pool is saltwater and was super clean. My family enjoyed this area allot! Josie has pool toys, life jackets, swim masks, beach toys, pool basketball hoop, coolers for your drinks and more!We drove our golf carts to many restaurants on the strip. Our favorite was the drunken mullet as they had live music on the water and good food. We rented a pontoon boat from captains boat rental and saw many dolphins in the canals.I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for the perfect vacation. Plenty of room with multiple gathering places for fun and time alone. The pool and pool room are perfect. The dock and kayaks are fun. The bedrooms are comfy. This property is so clean and beautiful! They really thought of everything possible to provide a fun and relaxing environment. The pool is crystal clear and refreshing. Take a break from afternoon thunderstorms in the pool game room…plenty of games provided. From coffee bar, fully stocked kitchen, and toiletries to coolers, chairs, and towels for the beach…they have you covered. Even sunscreen and bug spray! We had fun crabbing on the dock and roasting marshmallows on the fire. All s’mores items provided as well. Amazing hosts! Thanks again for a great stay 😁

Annual Family Trip

There aren't enough words to describe our overall satisfaction with the host and property. From the moment we booked the trip, the host communicated with us to ensure we had what we needed. Upon arrival, the property was exceptionally equipped with every detail imaginable. The house location is ideal for boaters, with quick access to the Gulf by water and just a short drive to local restaurants and shopping. Once you are settled in the house, there isn't a reason to leave other than to enjoy the local waterways. If you are looking for a well-equipped property to relax or enjoy time with friends and family, then this is it. I want to thank the host for all that was provided and the assistance.

I stayed here for my bachelor party. Just trust me. This place is it. They thought of everything. I packed light and most of my bag space was taken up by groomsmen gifts. I walked in and they had all the toiletries I needed. Super clean and so much to do

Above and Beyond!

We had the best time at Hernando Hideaway! Pool area was awesome. Fishing right off the dock was decent, nothing huge but kept the kids busy. We brought poles but they had them. When I say this place was stocked with all you need, I mean they seriously had it all! So much thought into everything that you might be like crap I forgot this, they had you covered. The bathroom caddy in each bathroom had toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, floss, finger nail clippers, tampons, loofas, lotion, and more! Each shower had shampoo, conditioner and body wash! The kitchen had an amazing coffee/tea bar, a snack station, and a bin with individual peanut butter, jelly, Nutella (family fave!), hot sauce, mayo, mustard, and ketchup. S’mores station stocked to anything you could need! They gave us the cutest little cooler with their logo on it ♥️ We are already taking about the time we will be going back. Fantastic Home!

Hernando Hideaway was a perfect home for our family to rent for our Spring Break week! We had 2 families of 4 and there was plenty of room in the house for all of us. The hosts have thought of literally everything (blankets to cover up in the living room, pool towels, a s’mores station, kayaks near the canal, hammock chairs near the fire pit, couch and hammock on the top deck, lounge chairs, QR codes for the welcome book, a list of area attractions, branded fun screen- so many things!). Anything you could want in a vacation house is available at Hernando Hideaway. We stayed for 4 nights and wish our schedule would have allowed for more. Lazy Lizards is a local restaurant with fantastic food. We wanted a peaceful and relaxing vacation away from the busy city attractions and that is what we got- it was perfect. We will definitely try and stay here again.

Beautiful Home with EVERYTHING you need, and more.

When you reserve a VRBO, you hope that the home is as pictured and that it's clean enough to make you comfortable. This home exceeded all of my expectations and the pictures did not do it justice. This is a great place for a family. It is stocked with everything you need. We have never been in a vacation rental where so much thought was given to every space. The kitchen had everything you needed. The bathrooms were well stocked. The pool was crystal clear, there were yard games, fishing poles, plenty of seating in every location, and the fire area was a great option for a late winter evening. Thanks for a great week of relaxation! We very much enjoyed our stay and will look to you when we are in the area again.

Exceptional

We have been visiting Florida 2 or 3 times a year for over 20 years, always staying in homes generally booked through this site or its predecessor. We’ve experienced the good, the bad, and the very poor over the years, and occasionally exceptional. The host is exceptional because prior to, during, and after our stay communication is prompt, responsive to any questions, informative and helpful, and cares. They do their utmost to ensure you have a great time at their property, not just secure another booking. The home is accurately described and photographed. It is in pristine condition. However, what are not shown are the personal touches and attention to detail by the host that are present throughout, and which make this home stand out from probably every other we have previously stayed in. They allowed us to arrive after flying several thousand miles, unpack, and start enjoying our vacation straight away. Truly exceptional. As we drove away at the end of our fantastic stay, one question lingered. Why can’t all hosts be this good?

Beautiful and relaxing home

This home had everything you needed as well as things you didn’t even know you needed! We enjoyed the well organized kitchen, s’mores at the fire pit, the heated pool, relaxing bike rides. The dock was perfect for our boat as well as the canal being wide and deep enough to use with ease. Our group of employees and spouses fit perfectly in the large home with plenty of space to do our big group meals together. We had constant communication with the owners as they made sure our stay was perfect. We will be going back again with our kids and family during the summer and cannot wait to stay there!

Great Property!

We booked Hernando Hideaway for a few days to visit our adult children in the area. We were not disappointed with this great property! The house was very clean, comfortable and the hosts thought of everything! So organized! Lots to do and great outdoor areas. We rented a boat and used the fire pit. The s’mores kit was genius. We would rent again!
