This historic hotel is absolutely gorgeous. Location is fantastic. Just a few blocks from the Cathedral and many restaurants and local shopping. The staff are extremely kind and helpful. The Included. Breakfast was delicious, made to order fresh daily. Our absolute favorite part was rooftop restaurant which comes with a welcome cocktail. This is the very best place to stay in Mexico City!

We really enjoyed our stay at Lamartine and would definitely consider staying here again. The location in Polanco is fantastic—walkable to so many great restaurants, cafés, and shops. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a charming boutique aesthetic that made it feel cozy and welcoming. We also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast each morning. It was simple but thoughtfully prepared and a nice way to start the day. The staff was one of the highlights of our stay. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and very accommodating whenever we needed assistance. There were a few maintenance and housekeeping issues that kept the stay from being perfect. The shower was difficult to use because the water was either very hot or very cold, with no comfortable middle temperature. Although housekeeping checked to make sure we had everything we needed, we didn't receive washcloths until our last evening. The room safe also hadn't been reset, so we were unable to program it for our use. Finally, the suitcase storage compartment had a strong musty/humid smell, so we chose to keep our luggage outside of it. Overall, these were relatively minor issues compared to everything the hotel did well. With a little more attention to those details, this would easily be a perfect boutique hotel. We loved the atmosphere, the staff, and the location, and we'd happily stay here again.
