"We stayed 2 nights in the carriage house at the Litz mansion. Immaculate- great steam shower, comfortable bed and pillows/ Everything you could want or need! Considering places to stay in the area, the Litz house and the especially the carriage house are way better than the other options."

"We loved our stay at the mansion and it meet our overnight needs perfectly. We thought we were the only ones there, but in the morning there were several other guests so that attests to how quite it was. The kitchen and living and dining areas were wonderful. I really appreciated the coffee after a somewhat wet hiking experience. "

"Enjoyed my stay. Myself and a couple that I was traveling with had the entire home to ourselves. I thought there were great accommodations throughout the mansion. My only feedback would be to increase the water pressure somehow."

"I really appreciated the cleanliness of the room. It was a lot smaller and darker than it looked online, but adequate to our needs. Never even thought about it being upstairs; it was difficult carrying our luggage up the stairs. The lighting wasn't good as I could not figure out the overhead light. My 91-year-old sister was disappointed there was no TV in the room. The biggest surprise was the height of the bathroom mirror. "Our family of 6 enjoyed our stay at Sweet Retreat. While it was cold and snowy outside we were able to relax in a spacious home and also partake of the hot tub. Large fenced backyard was great for the pup while in the summer it would combine great with the pool and outdoor amenities!"

"We spent a night on our way down the east coast. Such a great place to stop to allow space for our dog to stretch after a long day of driving. Coffee,snacks and water left for us and the place was really clean. I would absolutely stop here again. If you’re looking for a dogs paradise and a stay away from the hustle and bustle, this is it!"
