We had an absolutely wonderful stay! Their property was warm, inviting and clean! We celebrated a post Thanksgiving dinner with our son and another soldier stationed at Ft Bragg. Wonderful stay downtown Southern Pines

We had a wonderful 18 day stay at Flat Coat Cottage. The house is a perfect size, actually feels larger than the pictures make it look. The house was welcoming and well stocked for our arrival. We loved being able to walk into Southern Pines and enjoy all the restaurants and stores. The location was also close to so many other local amenities including numerous parks. We highly recommend this property and plan to visit again.

Great So. Pines Location!

The Flat Cottage was a great place for our stay in Southern Pines. The location made it easy to walk to our favorite restaurants and breweries in town. The house itself was immaculate and offered plenty of space for the whole family to spread out, work remotely, and just relax. Check in and check out could not have been easier. It was fantastic!

We loved our stay at the Flat Coat Cottage. This is actually our 2nd time staying there. Beautiful house walking distance to stores and restaurant. The house was very clean and fully equipped with everything we needed. If you are in need of a good nap, the wind chimes on the front porch put be right to sleep. :)

Girls Family Reunion

Lovely and livable! We had a group of 5 adults and were quite comfortable… plenty of seating in the living room for long chats and reminiscing! Beautiful kitchen (tho we ate out quite a bit.) Laundry room made for a terrific drop zone and help keep the living areas free from our clutter! We plan to rent this place again in the fall!

Wonderful stay at Flat Coat Cottage

My family (6 adults and 2 dogs) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Flat Coat Cottage over the Christmas holidays. The house was very clean and extremely comfortable. Birch was a huge help with everything from check-in to extending our stay. The location is great - a block away from all of the shops and restaurants on Broad St in Southern Pines, but still quiet at night. By the second day we were all joking that we wished we could buy the house! We will definitely be back.

Convenient location, Charming stay with limited privacy from neighbors.

This house is a lovely and convenient place to stay, especially if you're traveling with your furry family. Its proximity to town makes it easy to walk to and from, and I felt completely safe walking alone. However, it's important to note that the house has limited privacy due to the lack of curtains/blinds/drapes. In fact, the existing drapes are quite sheer, making it feel like a "fishbowl." To address this, we had to get creative and hang a towel from the curtain rod in the master bathroom to maintain our privacy from the neighboring homes, which are quite close by (just a one-car driveway away). Additionally, the upstairs bathroom has no window coverings at all. Despite this, the house is still a great option for those who value convenience and a comfortable to stay. One area for improvement in the listing is the lack of clarity on what amenities are provided, making it difficult to know what to bring and what to leave behind. I did reach out to the host for clarification, but unfortunately, the response came too late for me to adjust my packing accordingly as I was 1/2 way to NC from PA. For future reference, the property provides the following essentials: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, laundry pods (3), dishwasher pods (3), garbage bags (3), paper towels (1 roll), and toilet paper (2 rolls per bathroom). However, guests should note that they need to bring their own coffee (no Keurig) and kitchen products. The outside garbage needs to be emptied between rentals.
