Friendly staff, awesome animal encounters, and great lodging
This place is amazing. While it is not near anything, dont worry. I could eat 3 meals a day here for a week and not want a change. Great staff. Loved the staff at the dog area especially.
We stayed in Cabin #8 wonderful location. Cabin was immaculate, lovely room. The dinners were fabulous, breakfast would have been great if you could have had freshly cooked eggs while you waited instead on the steam table scrambled eggs.
The Snowhotel itself is quite something. The ice sculptures were great.
We did a Northern Lights tour, it was cloudy but we still were able to see a small display!
We loved our stay at the cabins at Snowhotel. The staff were so friendly and the cabins were lovely and modern. There were so many activities: we got to play with the husky working dogs and even say hi to the 12 new puppies, feed the reindeer, and take a beautiful snowshoe trail for views of the fjord. The food (all meals) was also absolutely fantastic. Would definitely stay again!
This property delivers exactly what you'd expect, an adventure around every corner. This manifests with dog sledding, king crab tours, snow machines, or a night in the ice hotel. Breakfast and dinners were a welcome plus. A must stay on any bicket list!
I loved every minute of staying with you. Every staff member was exceptional. Great attitudes and so kind and helpful. The thought that has gone in to the design, the activities and the food is obvious. Couldn’t be better. Thank you

My sleeping bag had velcro closure and was not usable, would not stay closed. Made sleeping difficult. zippers seem to be a better option. At least make sure velcro is in good condition. My wife had no issues with her velcro bag which was in good condition
Wonderful peaceful setting. We stayed in the Snow hotel whilst outside it was warm and sunny. We loved the reindeer and the huskies and enjoyed walking by the fjord. Staff were friendly and helpful and quality of food in restaurant was great. Would definitely recommend
This is a magical place! We fed the reindeer, we played with the husky puppies, we walked down to a Sandy Beach and bathed in the Langefjord. The cabin was beautiful and comfortable with coffee and tea and a lovely porch to look at the beautiful scenery in Finnmark. Stuff for friendly and helpful. We loved our stay!
Very comfortable and quiet. Stayed in a heated cabin. Food was very good but if you are a picky eater there are not a lot of choices at dinner time. Breakfast had a wide array of food from eggs, meats, fish, granola, yogurt to fruits and vegetables. Very pleasant staff. The reindeer and dogs are adorable !
Everyone at the Snowhotel was very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. We enjoyed the dogsledding. We spent a night in the Snowhotel. The sleeping bags they provide are very warm. Everything was great. Just keep in mind, there is no plumbing in the Snowhotel. Bathrooms and showers are in an attached building.
We had the best time at this resort- the dogs, the reindeer, John Henry’s wonderful presentation on Sami culture, the King Crab expedition, the northern lights hunt ( didn’t see any on the hunt but it was really fun anyway and there they were right at the snow hotel when we got back) the ice rooms, the food, the staff, the cabins.. I can’t decide what was the best part- we loved the whole experience. The only thing that would have made it better would have been staying 3 nights instead of two.
What an amazing visit to Snow hotel! We had a family room in the snow hotel which was fabulous ice art. Mom got nervous and the staff was SO gracious and let her stay in a warm cabin ( thankfully one was not yet booked ). Early in the day we did a great crab expedition- just wonderful, informative and delicious! AND the food was hyper local , fresh inventive and five star. ⭐️ fun to see sled dogs working, reindeer wandering and Sami handcraft displays. Thanks for a unique and warm experience!
Gamma cabins cute and comfy.. and NORTHERN LIGHTS!
Booked the Gamma Room to see Northern lights… the clouds cleared and it was magic! The two single beds are easily put together and even moved to the window. The bathroom was very spacious after days on a cruise. I’m sure it’s more beautiful when the snow has fallen, we were concerned about looking out onto a giant white plastic covered structure but at night it looked like snow. Included dinner nice although we had done the king crab tour then given king cr a starter seemed a bit stupid. We walked around the snow hotel part… rooms are similar to the Quebec version. It is an experience but you only need
To do it once !

Very expensive, very little privacy
This is not a stay you do for relaxation. When we checked in they told us to stick around for a presentation after they get everyone else checked in. The 5-10 minute wait was more than 30 minutes because of the line. Basically, they showed us where the different buildings and activities are - pretty sure we could have stumbled on them ourselves.
The entire experience was pretty disjointed, from where to store your stuff, when you get to be in your room, lounge isn't big enough to seat everyone, etc - they just didn't have a cohesive experience.
Tea and snacks with more information late afternoon, followed by a presentation in an entirely different building at 5.30p. So we're warm and cozy in the Snowhotel, but bundle up to go to the Gamme meeting area with a fire. The Sami history would be more interesting coming from an actual Sami, not someone from Poland (nothing against their international staff). After a warm drink and reindeer sausage, we trek back to the hotel for dinner, then sit around and wait for an excursion, or to dig out your toothbrush and pjs from the shared luggage room, with everyone else doing the same.
We were lucky to experience northern lights right above the hotel. It would be better if they didn't kill the night vision with all the landscape lighting. But then they might not sell as many nighttime excursions...to go see the lights.
Good to do for one night, although pretty expensive, but not something you do twice.
Our experience was wonderful and very pleasant. The staff is very attentive and friendly. They catered to our every need. The location is idyllic, beautiful, and peaceful. Very quiet and surrounded by nature. Thank you so much for everything!
