Cosy and beautiful thatched cottage, near numerous lovely beaches and historic Wheelhouses. Many fishing lochs and the Hebridean Way Walking route are easily accessible. Three Peaks: Ben Mor, Corrodale and Hecla are close by and a challenge even for experienced Munro Baggers. Archaeology sites all close by, including, Cladh Hallan on Uist Unearthed Augmented Reality route. Askernish, a fabulous "Old Tom Morris" Golf Course is only four miles away. Great Wildlife trips are available with Uist Sea Tours, Ceolas Summer School of music takes place first week in July, South Uist Highland Games are mid July and Ben Kenneth Hill Race is first Sunday in August. The island is a bird watchers paradise and if flowers are your thing the Machair from May to September is spectacular. Winters nights often have Northern Lights as well as amazing Dark Skies. Passing storms are not heard in the cottage, as the traditional stone walls are very thick unlike modern houses.
