Second bad experience, using Vrbo and Vacasa

What condo was dirty? There were bugs and could not get into the condo at our agreed time had to wait on maintenance. Keyless entry broke door jam key box broke. The place was filthy. Upon arrival at the entryway. Baseboards were nasty. There was mold growing broken window just a bad experience all the way around

Roaches Everywhere!

From the first day, we encountered roaches. I called and texted the management company several times and they said they would give me a $75 refund for that day (which I have yet to receive) and they would send someone out to spray the house and wanted pictures of the bugs. We sent pictures every time a roach appeared, but I waited on texts and finally had to call again. No one came to spray, so I spent about that much $ buying bug bombs and cleaning supplies to help the issue. It didn't help. The roaches started climbing on the ceilings and walls. I called again and they said someone had come out, but that was not the case. Finally, the next day they came and sprayed the kitchen area and that only sent the roaches into the other rooms. I contacted the management group again and all they said was I could check out and cut my vacation short for a refund of the remaining days. It rained on the third night and the bottom bedroom's window leaked from the top of the window all over the floor (getting in our suitcases). Overall, the space is amazing, the set up of the house is amazing, but eating and sleeping with roaches was a real issue. I'm still waiting on my "$75 refund" I was told I would get.

Home away from home

It was a nice stay. There are a few issues. They were working on the house and making changes. Beds, couches, paint. However, it seems like they stopped and made it available without things being completed. Tools and equipment everywhere. Broken dishes, a plug with a sticker that said faulty GFCI that the microwave was plugged into, The hand rail was barely attached to the wall, the master bath toilet barely flushed. The house looked nice, but much needed items were missing and some things did not work. Almost like lipstick on a pig.

Great location to beach

Invasion of Black Fly Insects

1. My family was plagued by black flying insects that bit us the entire stay. Tons of insects flew out of the bathroom sink. Even when I covered the holes, the insects still came through. They got in our mouths, on our toothbrushes, clothes, etc... 2. Communication was extremely poor, I was given the run around when I called to report the problems. They didn't seem to care about the insects invading our stay. 3. The furniture was not the same as shown in the picture. 4. The staircase rail was loose and the stairs were chipped. 5. The owner seemed to control the AC-it went off and on and at times the place was very hot. Overall, I felt very disrespected and believe it was cruel of the owner to not take care of the black flying insects problem prior to renting the home. I am sure the owner was aware of this problem. The place could be a nice vacation rental if the owner would just invest the funds he or she gets from renters in taking care of those issues mentioned.

Proximity is perfect! Cleanliness- Not

The beach is within walking distance from the beach house. That was perfect we visited the beaches twice during our stay. However the beach house was not clean. The sofas were so Disgusting we had to put a sheet on there just to feel comfortable to be able to sit down. There was food on the plates and the pan had dried burnt food in it. And the bathroom downstairs had nasty stuff on the walls around the light switches. Furthermore, the was a lot of wear and tear throughout the home and no extra bedding.

Excellent Choice for a long weekend

House is beautiful and very close to the beach. We watched fireworks from upstairs balcony. Very roomy and had pretty much everything we needed. Great place for a group.

South Padre Rental - 4 day visit.

Clean and comfortable. Some signs of wear but quite suitable. One piece of advice for owners: add small chest of drawers (or at least luggage racks) to the two downstairs bedrooms.

Close to beach and homey

Great location. The beach wasn’t a far walk maybe about 8 mins. The house was homey and the decor was pleasant. Despite some minor drawbacks (some lights were out, ceiling fan didn’t work in one bedroom, only received two trash bags for 6 people/3 nights) we had a great time and the price was awesome!

The place had termites.

First night there we could not sleep in the bedroom since there was termites all over the place. They were flying around and crawling on us in yhe bedroom. Even in the towels in the bathroom. The management team was supposed to get back to me with and have not heard anything about a night refund since we had to deal with the bugs and I had to get bug spray to deal with them. Good thing there was 2 showers.

Beach Vacation

Great location. Easy walking distance to the beach or shopping for souvenirs. Extremely kid friendly. Plenty of space throughout the house. Nice kitchen, adequately stocked with essentials. Tile floors make the sand clean up easy. Lots of beach supplies already there.

We enjoyed our stay, condo is located in a great area. 3 minute walk to beach, lots of stores and restaurants within minutes. We recommend this condo to anyone looking for a nice place, lots of fun at the island!
