Seven miles from both the shores of Lake Tahoe as well as the downhill runs at Heavenly Mountain Resort, this home gives you easy access to all the best of Lake Tahoe. During the winter months, we recommend using a 4x4 vehicle to access the home safely.



Open and bright, everyone will be able to gather in the main living area to take advantage of the gas fireplace, DVD library and free WiFi. Featuring convenience amenities like a private washer/dryer, family games, and a deck to enjoy your forest views, this home will let you unwind in style while being close to all the fun. No matter what time of year you visit, this Lake Tahoe home is waiting to host your next mountain getaway!



THINGS TO KNOW



Tahoe is home to many animals. You may experience bears, raccoons, mice, and other animals. Meadows are home to many rodents. When these areas are filled with water or snow, these animals move to homes in the area. You may experience these animals in or near your home.



WiFi can be spotty in the mountains.



This home is not equipped with air conditioning.



The patio furniture is seasonal.



The BBQ is seasonal.



Parking is limited to 2 vehicles in the driveway only.

Street parking is not permitted and may result in fines or towing.

Please make sure cars are parked fully within the driveway and not blocking sidewalks or neighboring properties.

Oversized vehicles, trailers, RVs, and boats are not allowed.



Garbage and recycling should be stored in the big metal bear box next to the driveway. There is a key attached to the box you'll need to use to open AND close the door. When closing the door, please make sure the latch is engaged. Our bears are pretty smart. DO NOT LEAVE KEY IN BEAR BOX. This will ensure that the local wildlife cannot get to your trash.



NOTE: The city of South Lake Tahoe takes the safety of their wildlife and the beauty of their city very seriously. So please never leave garbage outside overnight as the wildlife will find it, and guests will be responsible for any clean up or fines that may occur.



Guest Access:

Guests will have access to the entire house, including the three bedrooms, two bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, and living area with a cozy gas fireplace. Enjoy the outdoor space with the fire pit and deck, perfect for relaxing and taking in the forest views. Free parking is available on the premises. Please note that WiFi and cable service can be unreliable in the mountains.

Heavenly Mountain Resort is also easily accessible, about a 15-minute drive, offering world-class skiing and snowboarding in the winter and scenic hiking trails in the summer. Enjoy the convenience of being close to everything while still enjoying the peace and tranquility of your cozy retreat.



Getting Around:

Getting around Lazy Bear Retreat is easy! Free parking is available on the premises for your convenience. For those flying in, the Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) is approximately a 1-hour and 15-minute drive away. While public transportation options within South Lake Tahoe are limited, ride-sharing services are readily available. We recommend having a vehicle to explore the area and enjoy all the attractions South Lake Tahoe has to offer, including Heavenly Mountain Resort, the casinos, and the beautiful shores of Lake Tahoe.
