Served purpose but fell short

We stayed in the place for a girls long weekend. We picked the place for the hot tub, however, the hot tub was not functional. We were told after our first night and after the check-in girls gave us code to the hot tub. The manager did refund us for the trouble which was kind. The dryer kept turning off after maybe 20 min. We tried to get it to dry some clothes, but was unable to. I would also say that the spices cabinet and some of the dishes did not appear sanitary for use. The rule is to clean dishes before you leave. I would recommend that the cleaning staff be more diligent. I don't believe we will use this cabin again. It was nice to get away from the girls.

Cute little spot

The cabin was very cozy and comfy. The huge fenced in backyard was perfect for social distancing with my son who came to dinner with his girlfriend. Very secure also - as we just put our bikes inside the fenced in yard. Easy access. The location is really great too and close to everything.. The beds were comfy and water hot. Good towels and sheets and pillows. One challenge was cellular service. We have T mobile and the signal is not great for that service. Bring your own napkins - there are none except paper towels. And if you want to cook, bring more spices. They only had salt and maybe pepper. It would be really nice to have placemats. Thank you! Sweet place.

Small but decent stay

Great location, good for a quick stay. Clean and cozy. As others have said, the house is smaller than you think. Disappointed that the hottub wasn’t working due to covid but nowhere on the site did it mention that before booking and that was a priority for us to book it. We did get a credit for that though but we had to ask for it. House needs updating. Deck is old. All in all, a fine stay.

Super cute, fun cabin for the family

It's a but smaller than the pictures but it was even more fun than we thought. Very nice neighborhood and you see so many jackrabbits, they are just adorable. The big back yard was a huge plus!! I'd stay again with my husband definitely.

Perfect for a quick and quiet getaway

The home is adorable. We had a few issues: none of the fancy small fans work so it got hot; there wasn’t any laundry detergent to start a load of laundry before leaving; sheets were a bit scratchy because I think they launder with only bleach. The city has some strict ordinances around noise and number of cars. Hot tub had sand in it prior to our arrival so became concerned about being made responsible for it. Overall though, has most everything you need, super close to town, small but comfortable.

Cabin in Woods

Excellent hot tub, but kitchen facilities very limited and in a poor state. Obviously an older property which would benefit from an update especially the soft furnishings. Heating was inadequate in downstairs bedrooms and bathrooms.

We had a very nice stay in the house

The house is cozy and comfortable, except for the bathroom upstairs that is very small. It is well furnished and it is good for families with children because there are a lot of games. We appreciated a lot the backyard and above all the hot tub.

Nice house.

It's a nice little house. The rooms are a little small. The upstairs rooms looked like it was a add on to the house. We had the heater on but only upstairs got really warm. It was close to the stores and casino. Bathrooms were a little tiny too. Overall it was a good stay.

Dirty

We arrived well after check in time. The house had not been cleaned, downstairs beds had been slept in. Called the phone number with no answer, left several messages. Found another phone number posted by the trash can inside and called that number, the person said he would have someone there to clean, bring linens, towels, etc..., called back to say that housekeepers would be there shortly. No one ever arrived and then no one answered that phone number either. We found linens, changed beds, found someones underwear in the bed. We vacuumed and cleaned kitchen. The kitchen utensils, measuring cup, cups, were all dirty. We washed dishes. The kettle on the stove is unusable, the insides are black and come out in the water. Check the treads on the stairs, that hasn't been cleaned in months! There is insulation out in the back, no cleaning of the property, the decks were dirty. We were afraid to use the hot tub, since the inside wasn't cleaned, I'm sure the tub hasn't been checked or cleaned. This house is so cute and perfect for renting since it is set up for a lot of people. The cleaning people should be fired because this little place has been neglected for some time. I give the house 5 stars but because of the unkempt condition, I will not give Vacasa a good report. I am seeking a monetary return for us having to clean and not being able to use the hot tub. Also, the garbage comes on Monday, not Tuesday and there is no key! If you go out the front door, you can't lock it. We went out the back so we could lock the front, if this is correct, then put that in the instructions.

Clean, cozy and close to everything

An immaculate comfy home under tall pines, with 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, nice living/dining space, wall heater that heats whole place quite well, large-screen TVs with Netflix and wifi (a bit of a hassle getting that going, just be patient), great private hot tub out back in fenced yard. Tiny kitchen supplied ok (needs large frypan that isn't badly warped). The clothes dryer is a plus for towels, etc. (no washer). Home is in a quiet neighborhood of similar cabins and apartments in "downtown" South Lake Tahoe, very easy access to Lake and plenty of grocery stores and restaurants. Not exactly your "cabin in the woods", but a perfect place if you've got kids and want to spend time on the Lake just minutes away, or skiing just up the road at Heavenly (or in the casinos a few minutes away). With a backyard, big front porch, two floors and plenty of bedrooms, it's great for folks being able to get "away" from everyone else to nap, relax or just have a moment alone.

Amazing chalet!

We all love this place! We had such à great time! The chalet is beautifull confortable, and well equiped ! The hot tub is amazing! The location between the Lake ând the ski resort is perfect! The neighborhood calme and quiet! Bref, it was the perfect place to have fun and relax with friends or family!
