About this property
Cozy Lakeside Living
Wake up to the sounds of nature and serene views from every bedroom. Or if you prefer, you'll also find Muskoka chairs at the dock, perfect for quietly sitting and sipping your coffee as you take in the morning views.
This lake is great for swimming, fishing/ice fishing, and other water sports, and we have provided a canoe, 2 kayaks, a paddle board and a large floating water pad for your enjoyment. And because Fourteen Island Lake has no public boat access and only a small amount of cottages lining its shores, the water is crystal clean and clear.
Our lake house offers 1300 sqft. of bright open living space. The kitchen has all basic amenities, as well as a 10ft island for ample workspace, and a farmhouse table that seats 10. There is a reverse osmosis water system in the kitchen for safe drinking water. Enjoy making and sharing your meals while overlooking the lake via the patio slider.
Two of the bedrooms offer a queen bed and the third offers two sets of bunks, all sturdy enough and comfortable for adults.
No need to fear rainy days as we have a variety of books, games, and puzzles, perfect for adults and kids alike. You'll also find a smart television with loads of DVD's and access to Netflix as well as other streaming apps, and a Wii gaming system to keep you entertained.
Starlink Wifi is available to keep you connected.
Air conditioning is not available but a quick dip in the lake and fans in every bedroom will keep you cool and comfortable.

The cottage was exactly what we were looking for! Great place to play card games, cook great meals and make amazing memories! The cottage came well stocked with games to play which was a great bonus! Would recommend! The host was great with communication and responded very quickly to all inquiries.
The property was well equipped clean and modern. The hosts have done an excellent job in designing and building this beautiful property. We had a great time hope to rent this property again.
We had an amazing stay for our girls weekend. The cottage had everything we needed to enjoy a relaxing weekend. Laura was an amazing host, as she went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay. We hope to do it again sooner than later.
We loved staying at this cozy lakeside cottage. It was easy to access, clean and lots to do in terms of winter activities. This stay was hard to beat, especially when it came to Laura’s hospitality. She was easy to reach and gave detailed information about everything we asked, even great recommendations for local food. We hope to come again soon!
Last minute booking for Labor Day weekend, found this gem of a property. Lakeside, remote, quiet, great for the dogs and us.
Neighbors were generally fine.
Nice cottage. Pretty lake. Nice to have acess to canoe and kayaks. Cottage is well kept and updated. I would recommend this place. Neighbors were a bit rowdy and loud. This is not really in the property owners control unfortunately.
The cottage is beautiful and bright! It was our first trip away as a family of 5 and the cottage size was perfect. Our older kids loved the bunk beds and the dining table was nice and large for family games and colouring time. We also enjoyed canoe rides on the very calm lake and spotting fish, frogs, and even a turtle from the dock. Would highly recommend this cottage if you looking for a modern get-away with a beautiful lake view.
Our family had a wonderful stay at the lakehouse. Our host, Laura, provided us with good communication. The beautifully designed house was comfortable and modern with all that we needed. We enjoyed swimming in the lake, the canoe, the paddleboard, the lily pad, board games and the outdoor games. Our teens had a good break from their phones! It was a lovely spot for a relaxing and fun-filled vacation as a family.
Property is top-notch. Everything was as promised. We had an amazing time. Very private and quiet. Would love to return again next season. Great job on the layout.
Thank you,
We really enjoyed our time in this lovely cottage! Lots of space and very comfortable for a group of 6 of us - 4 adults and two kids, aged 5 and 8.
Between the campfire, badminton, games, canoe, paddleboard and swimming we easily filled our days. The lake is so serene and peaceful, and in the area we saw a ton of wildlife including loons, a blue heron, turtles, frogs (lots of them!), and 3 deer. Laura was also extremely responsive to any of our questions. We'd love to come back another year!
The cottage is beautiful, modern and clean and straight out of a magazine. Checking in and dealing with the owner was a breeze and easy. Plenty of games, dvds and entertainment in the cottage and lots of water sport equipment (lily pad, canoe, paddle board etc.). Wood was well stocked for the fire pit as well as the propane for the bbq. Just a couple of comments on the location. There is a landscape company located at the end of the road where the property is located and you can hear dump trucks entering during week during business hours. The cottage is private with a fence and surrounding trees but there are neighbors close by. Other than that the place is great. All in all I would give it a 8.5/10.
We found the cottage to be well equipped and very comfortable. The lake is very calm and peaceful.
There are grasses/weeds in the water out to the end of the dock but the floating pad makes it easy to enjoy playing around in the water for those who might be a bit squeamish about the underwater plants. The stand up paddle board, kayaks, and floating pad were lots of fun to use and play with as the kids and adults all had a very good time at, on, and in the water.
You will want to be sure to bring along your own bed linens, towels, and dish towels. Drinking water is via large water jugs to be replaced at the closest store in Verona. These were not mentioned in the listing (nor was the weeds in the water) which is why I gave the accuracy of the online listing 4 stars out of 5.
We had four adults and three kids at the cottage and the beds were comfortable for everyone. The cottage is well appointed and we found the kitchen worked well for cooking and the long table worked well for meals and board games.
Overall a very comfortable and well set up getaway spot.
The property came as advertised. The location is perfect and the cottage was very clean and well appointed. Communication with host Laura was very good.
Our third time here, and as always, everything was perfect for our needs. Great communication with the hosts when needed. Property is nice and quiet with great views.
