Our host was available for all questions and needs, as well as good local information. We enjoyed the fire on a snowy weekend. We hope to return soon to enjoy all of what the property offers.

The restaurant/bar on the premises was EXCELLENT, and allowed us to visit the country and have the freedom to have a drink and shoot some pool. A great place, with incredibly friendly owners.
The room I stayed in had just what I needed and nothing I didn't. I found the inn and the property quiet, convenient and charming enough to recommend. Minor inconveniences: regulating steam heat, particularly at night, was easily remedied by cracking a window and the shower faucet in the en suite bathroom didn't work properly and warrants replacement. Other than that, my stay from check-in to check-out was enjoyable and trouble-free.

The hotel recently changed hands and the new owners weren't completely prepared for guests. It's advertised as a B&B, which implies breakfast is included in the cost, but it was not. Having said that, the breakfast was excellent and really delicious. Highly recommend.
Housekeeping did not refill the provided shampoo, body wash or conditioner when they cleaned the room. Our room was at basement level but received lots of light; however, we could hear footsteps of everyone walking in the common areas on the first floor. It didn't bother us that much, and the hotel was otherwise very quiet.
The mattress sank in the middle, so my partner and I ended up rolling into in the trough in the middle of the bed when we fell asleep. I hope the new owners switch out the mattress soon.
Our stay was wonderful. We came into town for my grandmothers funeral, we were a little confused as check in is contactless, but we met Rosa and communicated via text and it was easy sailing after that. They did inform me of contactless check in, it just slipped my mind with all going on.
The property was great, loved spending one morning with the cows and later with the two pups on site. Really loved that the animals were rescues. Our room was small, but cozy, plenty of other rooms to relax in or play cards.
But the heart of this Inn lies with Rhonda, who took very good care of us during our stay. She was so empathetic and warm and welcoming and helped ease the burden of what could have been a very stressful trip back. It was a healing expierence, and ill never forget that, and I thank her and everyone else there.
I hope to visit and stay again sometime.
A very special place! Nick is wonderful with the right balance of being available but giving you space. The rooms are very clean, but it’s an old house; nearly 300 years old, so there will be creaks and normal settling for a home that age. There is no tv; I bring my laptop, but also enjoy the solitude. The Barn is open Wednesday through Sunday and provides a small menu, full bar and entertainment. The food was good; the service was excellent and the locals are very friendly. Probably my favorite part of the property is the rescue farm. I love waking up and visiting with the animals or coming back after a day’s adventures to see all these sweet animals. Nearly all are rescued from horrible situations and live happily with each other. It’s really the icing on an already sweet place. Also very convenient to Great Barrington, NY, and CT area towns. This is definitely a wonderful place to unwind and explore.

Minutes away from our daughter and granddaughter's home. Lots of coffee, juice, and english muffins in the morning.
Radiator in bedroom not working but had a portable heater instead.
Innkeeper very friendly.
Was told that the property is for sale but will remain an Inn.
I loved how unique of a place it was. The farm, the barn music venue, and all the interesting books and items around the house. It's too bad they are having such a hard time finding staff. The coffee was great in the cafe and I would have loved to eat there.

They canceled our reservation for the cottage and have us 2 rooms at the inn instead and did not even tell us until the day before. We booked elsewhere, as we wanted a kitchen and living area. When I requested a refund, it took several days for them to return our deposit.
Lovely inn with a great vibe. There is a restaurant/cafe on the premises and a music venue with drinks and food. Both were fun with friendly staff, but our room was still very private and there were no issues with noise. Also dog friendly, which was a big plus. We arrived late and they left us directions for our room and it couldn't have been easier. This is not a fancy place, but if you're looking for clean, convenient and friendly I highly recommend.
The area was peaceful except for the live band on Saturday night which wrapped up on time at 11pm.
-There was not much at the location and the was an eerie feeling about the place. The photos oversold and stay was overvalued, and it was just not for us.
Not what you would expect from a New England B&B. Very little warmth and charm.
Room was clean and quiet but very basic. House is tired and in need of updating. Inn staff were absent most of the time.
Cafe on site is charming and bustling in the morning, but breakfast is not included.

There were a few maintenance issues that we were made aware of upon our arrival that involved rectifying a mold issue. Also, even though they advertised nightly entertainment at the Barn, the venue was closed for a private party. It would have been great to know both of these things before booking.
My stay here had a lot of issues I had to beg to get the room cleaned. They were not enough washcloths or hand towels in the beginning. I did not know how to change the heat found out that there was a thermostat outside. There was a dirty washcloth under the bed and they said they couldn’t remove it, the heater fell out of the closet onto my foot when I open the closet door. I asked if there was a refrigerator where I could keep my leftover food and no one responded so I had to throw it out and go to a new restaurant for dinner the second night. And there are dead mice in the parking lot and peeling paint. .

Good location, absent service
Inn is in good location and we appreciated the on-site cafe (but for price would have liked more coffee options besides drip included with stay) and nearby live music. However, we did not see an inn staff person at the front desk all weekend. Check-in: keys were left out for us which we appreciated as we arrived just before front desk hours ended, but that option was not communicated to us (no one answered phone) so we rushed unnecessarily to arrive in the check in window. Room: Benjamin Room was under a part of the house that was very noisy - heavy footfalls, pipes, creaking floorboards, things being dragged (and more thundering footfalls) from before 7 am throughout the day until near midnight. Hand soap in room was very low when we arrived and with no one at front desk we were unsure how to replenish:( Disappointing for the price.
We arrived after dark, finding Nick, the proprietor, on the property. He seemed very nice, showing us to our room, who he said was an upgrade from the Rebecca, we had reserved, probably because we were staying for four nights and he was not booked. From here on things went downhill. At daylight, instead of finding a charming Country Inn, things were in disarray. Don't expect cozy common rooms as displayed on the photographs. We did never see a staff person affiliated with the Inn and our bed was not made once. Besides, the mattress was lousy, there was no TV, which was not a big deal, since we had our laptop and the WIFI was good. It would have been nice to have some other amenties like water glasses, wash clothes and some tissues. Our room had a free standing bathtub with a showercurtain wrapping around the entire tub. Being both octogenerian, for safety reasons, we did not take showers there.
The Inn may have been a wonderful destination in the beautiful Beshires years ago, but we were very disappointed to say the least. The owners are running a popular music venue in a barn on the property, which seems to be much more lucritive, consequently more attention is paid to that business. Had we not prepaid, we would have left early.
We have travelled the world and don't write reviews often, but felt we needed to let travellers know to skip this one!.

Couldn't wait to leave
Will never stay here again, and would not recommend it to anyone due to an uncomfortable room, lack of hospitality, lack of food, and terrible value for the price.
The inn isn’t very comfortable. We stayed in one of the basement rooms, which was cold and noisy. We heard people walking around above us, loud music from the venue, and a freaking rooster crowing all day. There were no amenities, such as a TV or mini-fridge. The bed (which was labeled as a king on Hotels.com but was actually a queen) dipped in the center so badly that I spent the whole night trying not to roll into my husband—which is pretty unacceptable at a hotel.
Food was very misleading. They have breakfast, which you pay for separately, but not as many options as I saw online; after viewing the sparse menu, with almost no vegetables, we chose to go elsewhere. It claims to have a dinner restaurant on site, which is total crap—what they have is a music venue. We tried to eat dinner there, and they wanted to charge $25 per person just to enter, before ordering food! So essentially, there’s no real food onsite. And the water fountain was empty the whole time.
I never saw a staff person while we were there (aside from the woman selling coffee); not a welcoming vibe at all. The inn shares a parking lot with the music venue, with no parking dedicated to the inn, so parking is a challenge when there’s a show.
Overall, we were uncomfortable and annoyed the entire time. We couldn’t wait to leave!

Peaceful country inn. Great coffee shop and barn on-site serving good food and drinks. Live music in the evenings (we stayed Thursday to Sunday). Room was spacious and clean - could use a refresh and would have been nice to have more than one chair (especially when we were snowed in on the Saturday!). Overall an enjoyable stay
Great stay at your Inn. We utilized the common room adjacent to our Room #2. Nice small fridge was helpful. New Years Eve at the Barn was great. We were here for a funeral and this lifted our spirits.
