「Jim Butler use to be a great place to stay. It’s not anymore! The place is run down, and the staff at check in is less than impressive! I called ahead as I would be making a later arrival to verify someone would be there. The lady who answered the phone spoke as if I was wasting her time. Then at check in she was completely unpleasant. I had a less than impressive stop the time before but thought I’d give the place one more chance. Never again will I stay at the Jim Butler.」

「The room itself was great. Plenty of plugs available, nice king bed and easy to get to. Loved that water and snacks were available for free as well as breakfast coupons for the steakhouse. We did not have sheets for the sofa bed and it was late when returned so we all (3)just slept in the bed. We had a non smoking room however we had to walk through smoke to get to it. One of the pillows had dried blood stains on it...」

「This place is a dump and I should have known better than relying on limited Expedia choices and reviews (which are usually dependable). Ely, an out of the way Nevada town but the closest place to stay when visiting Great Basin National Park and charging our vehicle, was apparently very busy this weekend and thus the hotel/room choices were limited.
