Love everything about this hotel/restaurant. The staff is great, the food is great, the views are amazing. Dog friendly and Whiffin spit next door to walk whenever you want. We did a midnight walk and it was amazing stargazing.

Our time at Sooke Harbour House was amazing. The location is second to none. The whole property has been newly renovated and the rooms have gorgeous front on ocean views. The restaurants also have great views and the food was extraordinary.. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Loved the staff who doted on our pets and appeared at door w/ more coffee pods, towels etc immed when requested. Attentive to detail. Free sodas and water in room fridge. The deck wonderful for watching sea life. Love it!

The room was very comfortable, clean, cozy and had a great view. The dining room was freezing and the food was just okay. However, the dessert was OUTSTANDING. Cudos to the Pastry Chef. Suggestion: Renovate the dining room, paint the doors going in and out of the kitchen, the dirt on them is very off putting.

We were delighted to see that Sooke Harbour House had reopened. The current owners are working very hard to provide top service to their clientel. The location is superb, nice walking, beautiful scenery and comfortable accommodation. Most importantly all the staff are friendly and welcoming. We look forward to enjoying another stay.

What a view. Always wonderful when you can see the ocean from your bed. The food was delicious and thoughtfully prepared with touches like tomato coral and delicious sauces. We tried elk tartare and it was delicious. Couple areas of concern included: being out of many menu items, the fridge in our room was noisy and they struggled with the thin the lounge on our second night so we were unable to watch the hockey game. Overall we had a fantastic, relaxing stay. Just appreciate the hotel for what it is now and do not compare it to the former era

The view from the room was excellent. The onsite restaurant, bar, and coffee “grab and go” were great. Excellent property. The only surprising thing was that the room doesn’t have air conditioning. They may not need it most of the time, however, it would have been nice to know ahead of time. We opened the small windows and used the fan provided. The windiest had screens. The sliding door did not. Leaving the sliding door open resulted in mosquitos in the room. I’m not sure if there is enough airflow with just the two small windows. Perhaps put a screen on the sliding door? It is easy to walk the Whiffin Spit from the hotel. Parking is easy.

This is a spectacular place to stay. The rooms have an upscale resort feel. Views are great. Little bakery downstairs has delectable pastries! Restaurant is pricey but excellent food! Definitely recommend this place!

We stayed the night. Our room was fantastic and the views were gorgeous. The room was very spacious. I would definitely go back. You can see the hotel is trying and so is the staff. They need to get their maintenance in order on their landscaping, and I would update the flooring in all the hallways so that they don't have to use those diffusers. The restaurant staff try hard, but they are not professional waiters and could use some guidance from professionals.
