"Outstanding property with easy access and great communication beforehand. The place is a joy to stay at set in a beautiful area, well located to amenities, very quiet, no noise or hassle from owners, well equipped internally, good internet, easy parking, comfy bed, great kitchen and bathroom and great value for money. The place is beautiful and a real real gem. I definitely will be back like Arnie once said…."

"The property is very centrally located and an easy walk to the centre of town. Plenty of restaurants etc nearby and a Tesco round the corner. Beds were comfortable and I liked that one room had twin beds. Communication with the team was very good. Please note that parking is not included (I had thought a permit might be provided during our stay but check in details received the day before advised us to use a car park nearby). Car park at the end of the street charged us £10 per day, so not a...

The Lion Inn was one of the most charming Inn's I have stayed in. The rooms are charming- you approach yours as if it is your own little cottage. Inside, they are cheerful and bright and have the latest in sleeping accommodations and amenities. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The pub is wonderful, The cuisine is delicious and contemporary, and the servers are lovely and efficient. The Inn is located near the Grade I church of St. Oswalds, -a two-minute walk away. The bathroom was well designed and had a wonderful shower that was just what we needed after 15 hours of travel. The bed was a dream, I haven’t slept that well in a long time. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. I appreciated the don’t trust your sat nav signs...
