We have a large family that does a retreat each year in Northern California. For 2024, we selected Santa Cruz and booked. Unfortunately, that reservation was cancelled in March due to the owner needing to sell (for unforeseen reasons). We scrambled to find a replacement and luckily stumbled upon Secluded Arts and Crafts Style Family Estate in Sonoma.
The reservation process was quick and easy and Steve (owner) was accommodating in allowing a third dog and provided a very clear rental contract and access instructions/house rules.
We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived and fully enjoyed the house! Several high points -
Area is very quiet (we were as well) and private.
Downtown Sonoma is very close for those that wanted to venture in.
The house isn't new, but it appears to have been very well maintained over the years. We had no issues with power, water, plumbing, furniture, etc. We had no need to contact Steve during our stay.
House has many areas (inside and out) that are pleasant for gathering/relaxing/reading, etc.
Parking is plentiful and easy (we had a max of six cars during our stay).
Kitchen is well stocked and big enough to allow for several cooks to work simultaneously.
While we generally try to go different places each year, several family members have already expressed a desire to return.

NOTE - We had 12 adults in the house for most nights. There are five bedrooms and the loft above the dining room, so we had no issues '
