This is our third stay at this beautiful property. The rooms are super clean, bed is very comfortable and each room has noticeable decorative touches; like the pretty floral dish towels. Everything you need is provided. I was looking forward to returning to this house for the weekend almost as much as seeing our daughter at Miami U.
I stayed for the dad's weekend and this place was great. Clean and comfortable, 15-minute drive to campus and priced very reasonably. Would stay here again.
This was such a great find for our trip to Oxford for a soccer tournament. My younger children had the best time seeing the goats and the bunnies. We were very comfortable and it felt like a little vacation.

The hosts were absolutely wonderful! They were so helpful and responsive. The place is so warm and welcoming!
My husband and I loved staying here, although it was just overnight. We were thrilled with the comfort of the cottage, which was not only quaint but very well equipped. If we are ever back in the area we would love to return.
We just spent the weekend at this place and it was perfect for our family. We were at Miami for a tournament for our son and to see our daughter. This place is only 15 minutes from
Oxford. It’s a very quiet country cottage that has a couple of friendly goats.
My husband and I booked the cottage while visiting our Miami student and I can’t wait to stay again. Truly just 15 minutes to campus. The cottage is charming and so comfortable; just as shown in the pics. It’s such an inviting, quiet place and with thoughtful touches. The upstairs was cool with the additional air conditioner too.
First of all, the house was exceptionally clean and quiet. The host was accomidating and communicative. The house is dog friendly so we were able to share our weekend with him too! We loved how the host shared their own personal art with their guests and gave us the opportunity to purchase one for our own home. What a personal souvenir to serve as a memory of our wonderful experience! Also... goats. Need I say more?!

The cottage is beautifully decorated and equipped with all needs (in the kitchen, in the bathroom and entertainment). Thanks much for the owners' help for our guest, who struggled with the steps to the cottage and the spiral staircase.
We stayed there with our 3 granddaughters…. It was a very nice experience. Ashley was great and was kind enough to let the girls hold the new baby bunnies…. The goats and cats were also a big hit with the girls… no creek and/or fire pit use due to drought… but we made the best of it…. I forgot my shampoo and Ashley sent it to me along with a toy my granddaughter had left there…. We truly appreciated that….
We moved our daughter into her dorm at Miami and stayed at this charming cottage. It was a short drive from the campus down beautiful country roads. Super easy check in and lots of parking. Extremely peaceful and quiet property. The goats were unique and fun to watch while drinking your coffee. There is a grocery store only a three minute drive that has a full deli and pizza. Please note that there is a spiral staircase that some may find hard to navigate. We would definitely recommend this property.
This property is nestled in the rolling hills of southwestern Ohio, and had great views driving to, and while at, the cottage. Everything was very clean and well kept, and a personalized sign welcomed us on the porch when we arrived. We loved seeing and petting the goats, and if we had more time we would have asked to have a tour of the whole farm! Beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of extra sundries available in case we forgot anything. There was no noise from the downstairs unit, and the spiral staircase was so charming. We didn't use the wood burning stove due to it being unseasonably warm when we stayed, but we thought the look of it was very homey. We will book here again the next time we have a hockey tournament in Oxford! Thanks for a great stay!
We enjoy staying here. It is peaceful w/ the woods, goats, bunnies & kitties as well as wildlife. The windows come nearly to the floor & our dog loved having a window view to the squirrels. It’s close to where our family live so we can visit them & also enjoy some down time. The only issues we had were the bed is so so so soft it made my back ache. When we turned on the heat a huge black wasp came out. It didn’t bother us & we understand this is part of being one w/ nature. The other piece to mention is that you can hear the neighbors below us & they can also hear us. Our dog was barking while we went to dinner & left him at the Vrbo, so we had to take him w/ us. Obviously that is our issue, & something we will keep in mind when sharing a wall/floor w/ other neighbors. Ashley contacted us via the app & phone. We were able to go back & bring our dog w/ us on outings. She was understanding & we were respectful of the other guests.

What a great visit. The 2024 Total Solar Eclipse was fantastic.
This farm cottage sits on a beautiful piece of land in the rural Ohio countryside. We LOVED having the goats as neighbors, the kids enjoyed talking to and petting them. The creek flows along below just down the hill behind the goat enclosure and was a great place for the children to explore. The springtime (April) yellow wild flowers along its banks were gorgeous.
The cottage is quaint, amply supplied, and suited our family of 5. The one bathroom is on the upper floor next to the bedroom. The kitchen worked fine for us - we cooked one dinner and one breakfast. The beds were OK (the fold out couch was, well, a fold out couch).
I can strongly recommend this rural get-away for a couple or a small family. If you have a visit to OXFORD, OH, this is a great alternative to hotel life. The drive over to the university town is lovely and does not take too long.
Be aware. There are stairs - both up to the entry deck area and up a narrow spiral staircase to the bedroom and only bathroom. Our 82 year old mom was able to navigate the stairs, but this could be an issue for anyone that struggles with them or sees stairs as obstacles.
The host family was very welcoming and we really enjoyed spending time in their special piece of the world.
GREAT COTTAGE!!!! We recommend it.
This is the second time we’ve stayed at this property and it was just as pleasant as the first. Clean, quiet and close to the university. We especially enjoy seeing the goats in the morning.
