always a pleasure to stay at this Hotel.

I have been staying at the Hotel Sonderborg Strand for many years, it is my preferred hotel to stay at when i am over in Sonderborg on business. its a very relaxing place to stay with views over the Ocean, Staff are very friendly and professional.

I had the pleasure of staying two weeks at the Hotel Strand. The staff was wonderful, the location was very convenient, and the breakfast was so good. I will always here when visiting Sonderberg.

The hotel is great, clean and well located. The only issue I had was in the hotel's restaurant. The restaurant was empty when I went there with my mom and there were three employees only talking with each other for all the 15 minutes I spent there waiting. None of them didn't even care to come and ask anything, I found it really disrespectful and just left to find some place to eat in the city.

The location of this hotel is the best part with the hotel. However the hotel is getting old and the ventilation is very bad, extremly stuffy and no air in the rooms. No in room safe and very basic room over all. However the breakfast was nice and easy parking. The staff was not very charmig and the check out time is already at 11:00. If you ask for a late check out they will charge you 100DKK/hour. So bottomline is that there are better hotels to stay at in Sønderborg.

Nice view but uncomfortable bed

Typical conference hotel without any particular character. Superior room had great views overlooking the oceanfront but the bed was uncomfortable (squeaky and way too firm) and there was a smell from the bathroom - and I found long ginger hears in one of the chairs. Not delicate.

Restaurant not an option .

Checked in swiftly . Then asked what time last orders for the kitchen were . I was told in a sterling manner that the restaurant was FULL. As was a resident surely they could accommodate a single traveler . NO . I asked to speak with the manager and was told there wasn’t one. Terrible customer service was experienced. Therefore I was made to walk into town and find an alternative place for dinner . After my walk and dinner I came back to the bar for a night cap. There is no full time bar person . It is run by the staff who wait tables . Therefore when you do require a drink you have to go and find someone to serve you . The rooms are old and need upgrading . Breakfast was okay but nothing to write home about .

Vi var rigtig tilfredse med selve hotellet, servicen, personalet, værelset, morgenmaden, beliggenheden mm. Fik en middag på hotellet i restauranten. Den var meget ringe og meget dyr. Hovedretten var desværre smagsløs. En kartoffelmos i noget vandig sovs uden smag og et kedeligt og tørt stykke kød a la sprængt kvie, også uden smag. Desserten var panna cotta, som var meget gummiagtig og uden smag. Så middagen var en skuffende oplevelse.

Overordnet et fint sted. Dejligt værelse med en skøn udsigt over vandet og komfortable senge. Morgenmaden er fin. Overnatningen var en gave til min mand, til en rund fødselsdag, så jeg havde på forhånd skrevet til hotellet og spurgt, om det var muligt at lave et morgenbord med flag eller lignende, som en overraskelse til ham, da vi var der på selve dagen. De svarede hurtigt og sødt tilbage, at det ikke var noget problem - og at personalet var informeret, så det ville være arrangeret, så det glædede jeg og børnene sig til. Ved morgenmaden var der intet gjort, og jeg spurgte til det. De anede ingenting, men de kunne da godt komme med et flag - og så blev vi spurgt, lettere irriteret, om vi ellers manglede andet. Men de kunne dog informere om, at det var receptionens skyld. I receptionen ved udtjekning, fik vi at vide, at de var informeret, og at de var personalets skyld…man skulle tro det var et samarbejde. Det var bare sådan en øv fornemmelse at komme ned til. Ikke fordi vi ikke fik morgenmad, men det skulle være en overraskelse. Ingen beklagelse fra personalet eller tillykke til min mand, for den sags skyld. Det kunne man godt forvente af et hotel på det niveau

Ikke nogen fornøjelse

Morgenmaden er fin, hvis gæster undlod at bruge vaffeljern de ikke kan finde ud af at betjene (utroligt høj bippen), meget slidt værelse (gaffatape på badeværelsesdør) uden noget ekstra, ikke engang en enkelt knage. Sindsygt meget larm (råben, snakken og skrigen) udenfor værelse hvor personaleindgangen må befinde sig samt skraldespande, der blev brugt med meget larm og støj til følge. Ikke nogen fornøjelse at bo på det hotel.

Meget kort velkomst Vær. Dejligt .. dog et stort minus vi havde vær. 123 Lige ved siden af udgang der lå til vandet ..hver gang gæster benyttede denne dør smækkede den i med et brag vi kunne høre virkelig kedeligt at høre på Hotellet ligger i fin afstand til byen og restauranter ved vandet .

Hotel eller kursus-ejendom?

Minder mere om en kursus-ejendom end et hotel. Fik tildelt værelse med en dejlig udsigt til strand, men havde en fornemmelse af at bo i en kælder. Døren til toilettet kunne ikke lukkes uden at smække døren voldsomt i, og sengen knirkede. Hotellet tager kr 35 for en sodavand og kr 25 for alm vand på flaske! Fint morgenmad.
