The Hotel is an older property but is well kept and the rooms are comfortable with everything I needed for my 2 night stay. "No communication once we booked, so not told how to check in. Kind gentlemen in restaurant eventually helped us out. An email would have been helpful. Comfortable room and beds. Kitchen had no utensils at all. "

"We had a great (3-nights) stay at Strandhotellet. It is a lovely stylish hotel with a quaint atmosphere, and a short walk to the beach and restaurants. We received excellent service and the staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming. Note if you stay during the warmer season: There’s no AC in the room or ventilation in the bathrooms. The room had a small portable fan which we turned on at night: We would have preferred to leave the patio doors open, to experience the ocean breeze but due to mosquitos we had to keep the doors closed. The room was unpleasantly warm. That said: we were in Blokhus during the warmest week of the year, the weather and the beach was amazing ☀️ "

"This is a lovely hotel. The views over the north sea are spectacular, and the hotel has been recently renovated and is beautiful. The restaurant was excellent; I strongly recommend that you dine here and make dinner reservations when you book your room (as it can book up). The hotel is close to hiking trails and has fascinating WWII bunkers on the property. We booked a deluxe double room with a terrace and a sea view, which was wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel."
