The staff was pleasant and the location was good. The place needs updating, it's stuck in the 70's and it's too pricey for what you get.

Research between booking direct or third party. I feel like the property treats third party reservations as lesser so than a direct reservation. Booked a room two adults one minor; desk host was unaware of the second occupancy in the room? Seems like a simple overlook. Small town gives peaceful vibes. Be patient and they will take care of you. I was surprised no coffee in room but the host always made coffee in the morning in the lobby. Property great parking. Quiet off street entrance for pedestrian. Walking distance from everything. Will definitely stay again. Staff were present but not overwhelming. Shops nearby. Airport shuttle is shared with other hotels. Room was reasonably clean. Heat and ac work great. Satellite TV basic.

I called and made a reservation for a room. I was told that I could check in at 3:00 p.m. The lady at the front desk said it would be 20 minutes to 30 minutes more. I came back every half hour and she kept telling me it would be a little longer. I cancelled the reservation and asked for a refund. I did not get the refund. The staff is terrible

Pretty plain run of the mill room. Staff was very helpful in directing us to places to eat and see the next day. Even suggested we contact Frank from the list of taxi options that was suburb! Frank is a gem! Centrally located, which made it a good choice!

Couldn’t connect with the airport shuttle on the way in, but the office staff went out of their way to make sure we were able to get a taxi to the docks on a busy busy cruise in port day.

There is absolutely nothing unique about this property whatsoever. There is no in-room coffee maker, no continental breakfast, very RARELY is the front desk staffed, the window coverings in the rooms are in dire need of replacing, housekeeping is by request only and then only if the message gets passed on. The only upside to the Baranof Lodge is that it is easy walking distance to downtown, the shops and restaurants. Oh, and the airport shuttle is appreciated. We paid a hefty amount for a 5-night stay at this hotel with almost nothing in the way of amenities! I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone! ☹️
