She was so warm and friendly and welcoming, she even provided us with some complimentary groceries upon arrival, including farm-fresh eggs from her own chickens. The view was fantastic, and everything we wanted to see was so close by! Even her dogs were super friendly and welcoming, and that's saying something, because I'm not really a dog person... :) Gabriela made everything right for us during our stay with her, and we will definitely be staying with her again if we go back to Portugal."

"The gardens were beautiful with lots of fruit trees and flowering plants. The trolley and local bus stopped at the road in front of this villa which was very convenient. Ability to make your own meals and do laundry was lovely. The villa itself was authentically Portuguese with an eclectic mix of art. "

The garden was lovely however the pool which looked great was not heated.The villa is set in a small quiet village location but a car is a must to visit local restaurants and towns.Overall we would recommend this charming villa. "Set in a beautiful location overlooking the Atlantic, it is a lovely place. Not too far from Sintra or Lisbon, it still feels quite removed. The room was very nice, and the bed very comfortable. Connecting to WiFi was a challenge, and unworkable from our room. Taxi service was also a challenge. But overall, we enjoyed our brief stay. "

"What a magical place! It’s like you stepped back in time when you arrive at this Quinta, surrounded by lush gardens. The woman who owns it grew up there and has so many fascinating stories to share about the house. Although it’s down a narrow gravel road, it’s easily accessible by car, Uber, and even Uber eats if you decide to order in. On the day we were without a car, were able to walk to the main road where there is a bus service to a lot of the sites in Sintra—though it was hard to leave the enchanting property. And my 8 year old son wanted me to mention that he found a lizard in the bathroom and had a lot of fun and the lizard was super cute."
