"Herring House is a great place to stay--I enjoyed it immensely. I booked one of the cabins which included access to an outdoor shower. Although somewhat skeptical, the proprietor, Helga, convinced me to give it a try. Glad I did--truly an amazing experience even though the temperature was a little above freezing. The accommodation was extremely clean and ideally situated with restaurants within easy walking distance. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Siglufjörður."

"The house was ideally located in town and well-equipped with all that we needed for our stay. While it was unclear whether the property had a hot tub as listed, my daughter enjoyed her time digging out enough snow to open the door to the balcony. "Small place as expected, but we were able to squeeze our family of 5 into it for the night. Owner was helpful and communicative. Cute small town. Not 100% sure, but I think there was a public putting green across the street for golf lovers."

"We arrived in the evening, driving through clouds unable to see anything. We awoke to find we were surrounded 360 degrees by gorgeous mountains! We were awed!It was a bit of a drive on a dirt road but well worth it. The house was great. As described. The hot tub was an added treat. Lots of hiking and waterfalls everywhere too!Everything was great and communications were easy. Thank you "
