All guestrooms at Golden Orchid Angkor boast thoughtful touches such as 24-hour room service and pillow menus, as well as amenities like free WiFi and air conditioning.
The reception staff are very helpful. They're also the only English speaking people on the premises. They changed my room on request due to the loud karaoke bar next door. I was happy with my 2nd room.
The restaurant staff could do with a bit of training. They chopped up an omelette which I sent back because my order was for scrambled eggs.

Remonttiin vain
Huonokuntoinen hotelli hissi ei toiminu tv ei toiminu koko hotellissa. Huoneen ovessa iso reikä joten kaikki äänet kuulu sisään eikä muutenkaan tuntunut hyvältä. Buffetaamiaista ei ollut nii kuin esitteessä luki.

Services advertised not available
We booked this hotel for a few reasons. Its location, breakfast included in room rate, hot water, air conditioners, and cable television.
Unfortunately the cable television had been disconnected through the entire hotel. One room the air conditioner did not work. The other room the hot water did not work. One of the rooms the door could not be locked from the outside.
We booked over a public holiday period expecting that services advertised would still be available. The first morning we were told we could not have breakfast because of the public holidays. Explained that we had paid for that service. Had to go back later and demand they cook us breakfast the following day. The following day breakfast was made - ok. The day after we asked for the same vegetarian fried rice for all four of us. It came out with meat in it. Sent one portion back explained in Khmer and English to staff that one of us do not eat meat. Staff sent out a plate five minutes later that was "vegetarian" - She had just tried to pick the meat out and re-serve it.
Tried to explain to the hotel manager through translate (she speaks Mandarin and cannot speak English or Khmer). She was upset that this had happened and tried to make amends. At this point I was quite disappointed in this hotel. I cannot recommend it given the many options available in the area where I have never had an issue.
There is supposed to be coffee and tea sachets in the room but was only tea so we asked for them to be replaced... still waiting. We did turn the jug on before working out no sachets you have to get on the floor under the table a put the jug on the safe as the cord won't reach and there is no where else it will reach either that might be ok for the young but those of us with old knees not do easy. Oh and the safe down on the floor isn't attached to anything... not do safe if anyone could walk off with it. After four days we decided to stay in the town another 2 days I had to ask for the sheets to be changed and the 2cups with mould in them in the bathroom to be cleaned. Breakfast has changed since my husband has been here a few years ago it used to be buffet and a good choice one of the reasons we came to this hotel. Now it's off the menu and very plain and small servings. They do actually have a buffet but we were told we couldn't use it because it's for the Chineese only as they pay extra I'd like yo how much extra as watching them most hours back three times. Thank goodness I bought my ear plugs as Our room is next to a large hotel which has kariokie on the roof at night and has very loud speakers goes to around 2am ever morning. So over all it's ok if your young fit and can sleep through anything. Food shops in the street are cheaper than pub street you can get a meal for $2. When we extended our days here at the front counter I got $20 per day off the original price.
