Beautiful hotel overlooking Lake Kariba. Facilities have been updated. Gorgeous pool with lounge chairs!

A beautiful Oasis on the lake

We stayed here as a recovery from a road trip around Zambia and it was perfect. They are very customer service oriented. The large open space was perfect for relaxing on the couch with a view of the lake, a snack or sip in the pool. There was always someone around to get you anything you wanted. I’d stay here again.

Awesome environment, but the rooms could be better

The pools, restaurants, the general atmosphere is lively and it is a great place to hang out with friends and family. The room was clean but the lighting was very poor, it was and not so comfortable - it was infested with ants. I hope this can be worked on

The view is amazing from the terrace, nice walk down to the lake. Food was excellent, not to mention good coffee and friendly service at the restaurant. Room was nice, quiet and functional. Only challenge that I faced was quite a lot of ants both in my room as well as at the terrace and by the pool. Road on the last mile is quite terrible, but then you feel like being far away from everything. All in all I enjoyed my long weekend stay and hope to come back.

Traumhafte Natur - mäßiger Service 😏

Die Anlage ist in dieser Gegend einzigartig, besonders die Pools. Dennoch waren wir über den Service enttäuscht, mussten uns öfter beschweren, weil z. B. das Zimmer nicht geputzt wurde. Das Hauptproblem war, dass wir das Gefühl hatten, unsere Urlaubszeit auf einer Baustelle zu verbringen. Das hätten wir gerne vorher gewusst. Es gab kein Entgegenkommen, nur eine Entschuldigung. Es wäre ein Leichtes gewesen, uns ein anderes Zimmer anzubieten, da es nur wenige Gäste gab. Das Personal schien Beschwerden gewohnt zu sein, wir haben auch einiges von anderen Gästen mitbekommen. Schade, dass die Zufriedenheit der Gäste den Verantwortlichen nicht wichtig zu sein scheint.

Unexpected renovations!

Unfortunately the Hotel is currently busy with renovations which we were not informed about when booking. First allocated room was cramped and noisy as workers were busy with angle grinding close by. Staff kindly relocated us to a nicer room further away. The views from the restaurant are spectacular but again noisy due to renovations during the day. Restaurant staff are to be commended (special mention goes to Erikson). Housekeeping needs to pay more attention. We eventually booked out a day early. I'm sure when renovations are complete the hotel will be stunning. But would avoid for now.

We had a fantastic stay at Lake Kariba Inns. The setting was beautiful and the food was delicious. We had full body massages whilst there and went on a boat trip - all at a great value price. Staff were friendly and helpful, although could be a little slow when ordering/serving evening meals. When we checked out, the reception staff offered to call a bus to the hotel to take us back to Lusaka. When they were not able to get through to a bus driver, they had one of their own drivers take us to the market place to catch the bus - free of charge. Excellent service! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and hope to visit again soon.

The only thing that was detrimental was that they did not tell us there was construction 2 doors down. We booked the villa for privacy and had workman looking at us. There should have been a warning when we booked.

They offer Gamewalk and you can meet 7 zebras and 31 impalas wandering around the property at harbour side. Our family enjoyed the short trip to Kariba Lake a lot.

The Lake Kariba Inn is a beautiful place to stay in Siavonga and is a great value. The restaurant and bar area is beautiful and the property is quite large. The rooms are very spacious and have nice furniture etc. I did not partake in any of the spa or boat trips but they seemed to be well organized

Best in the area

We really enjoyed it. Spectacular views. Good food. When we were there it was very quiet and peaceful. Place and grounds well maintained with happy Zebra and 1 angry goose!

The stay was lovely and the recent renovations look great. We have tried two other places in the past, but Lake Kariba Inns is the place to stay in Siavonga. We were really impressed when the team went above the call of duty to get our car running when we found our battery dead in the morning - thank you so much.

The room was dated but very clean and the beds comfortable. We stayed in a villa and had plenty of space for a family of 4. The biggest complaint was that the a/c units were noisy. We could have managed without them but needed them to drown out the noise from a nearby bar. Fortunately the bar was not open too late. Also, the private swimming pool for the villas is not very appealing, but the other 2 pools are close by and very nice. It's a great hotel overall and we definitely plan to stay here again the next time we are in the area.

Lake Kariba Inn is my go to place in Siavonga. Pleasantly arranged pool area, bar and rocky hillside with natural garden. Has many activities on the menu such as tennis court, squash, gym, boating. Restaurant is offering good varieties of continental kitchen.

Nice place, but staff needs improvement

Nice place and a nice lodge.. but the staff needs improvement. The dishes we ordered had different sides than the menu says and the receptionists are lazy. They could not fix a cab for us because none had talktime
