Nice and clean room in historic building with modern bathroom (nice big shower). Well appointed, with bedside lights (one each side of the bed) and plenty of USB power sockets (A & C) both sides of the bed. Additional plug-in electric radiator provided, and tea/coffee/kettle with a couple of small packets of biscuits too. Very convenient for visiting Shrewsbury on foot, and not far from the railway station.

If your looking to stay in a piece if history and am prepared to accept that is your choice. I belive it dates back the the late 1500' around five hundred years old. The rooms are comfortable. The Bar is very "English Pub" with a good selection of beers wines (Red) and the food pretty good. The sticky pudding is seriously dangerous in a good way...this place is for you if you want a bit of history...

There was an all night party taking place in the bar directly below the accommodation....unbearably loud noise prevented sleep until 4am. The facilities were generally ok, except the bathroom extract fan didn't work.

The location was great, right in the centre of town,10 mins walk from train station. Staff very friendly and helpful with bag storage until check in. Room was nice ,very clean and comfortable bed,tea and coffee and biscuits provided. Unfortunately though we had little sleep as the noise levels from bar/outside rooftop garden ( same level as room) was extremely loud ,the bar closes at midnight and the noise continued til 1am and we could not sleep after that. So for that reason only we would not choose this property again, which is a shame as everything else was great.
